He shared his sightings with the Islamic citizens and told how important it was to devote to Allah. He was later titled as the last prophet, and traveled to Medina to form a group called the umma. This group developed in the center of the Middle East and Arabia, and later spread across different regions. As a result Islam was founded, which consisted of new people called the Muslims. After Muhammad died, the Quran was created a few years later, to describe the journey of Muhammad, and this book was handed to each individual. Later the religion Islam became one of the largest ones in this period, and was comparable to Christianity and Judaism.

During 1054 C.E. the great schism occurred between the Latin and Orthodox churches. For the western part of Europe, a pope was appointed to rule the secular people. For the eastern part of Europe, the Byzantine Empire maintained control, and the patriarchs had a role in the decision makings. The Byzantines in the eastern part of Europe also banned iconoclasts from being used by the people. A pope was rejected by them, as there was already an emperor who complied with the ideas of the patriarch. The western part of Europe had Latin as its official language, as well as the pope as its main head of state. The schism caused Christianity to spilt into two different
Islam is a very large and influential religion, it all originated from one man named Muhammad spreading his beliefs to the people of Mecca, and now it has become the second largest religion in the world. How did this come to be? How did a religion that started with one man spread so quickly? methods , purposeful or not, were used. There are a few methods that appeared to be most effective, and those methods can be classified under two categories. Islam expanded from forceful ways such as government laws and military conquest, and from peaceful ways like the religion being a reasonable jump for other religions and Islam being an easily acceptable religion.
The Muslim Empire began to expand vastly under the Umayyads, with the empire becoming so large many people were converting to Islam religion. The Umayyads were the second of the four major caliphates after the death of Muhammad. The Empire used many different ways to spread the Islamic civilization consisting of war, classes, and appeal. The Islamic civilization spread so strongly because of the way it allured the common man.
After the fall of the Roman Empire, no one imagined that the next great world power would emerge from Saudi Arabia. Especially, because ancient empires thought that the land was worthless but they didn’t know that it had great trade routes. Trade brought them in connection with other civilizations and that’s how the city of Mecca, located in Saudi Arabia became known. The city of Mecca was a mix of religious beliefs, they used to worship many gods and had their own rituals. The world of Islam took place in Mecca where Muhammad was born in 570 CE. He became known as “the Prophet,” he was meant to be God’s final prophet. The main two groups of Islam are the Shia and Sunni; which they were created after Muhammad’s death. The Islam religion as
Before the split of 1054, the Roman Catholic Church or Western church and the Eastern Orthodox Church or Byzantine church were almost one with each other. The two churches held the same ideals and got along with one another the majority of the time. They had previous splits in the past but they were never a permanent situation because they usually found a solution to their issues and differences. The split between the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church in 1054 seemed to have no resolution when their theological, political, and cultural differences became too much for them to harmonize upon.
By this time, the two sides of the church had disagreed on many philosophies. Such as if they should use yeast in their bread and the large issue of the trinity. They tried to stay out of each others’ hair. Before the East-West schism of 1054, also known as the break of the church, the church and state were supposed
Consequently, in 1054 a great blow was received by the Christian Church. The Pope argued that Rome had religious primacy over Constantinople. The Bishop of Constantine had a different opinion. The argument was based on the creation of a Council in the Papacy, an idea not to the Pope's liking. The struggle caused the Great Schism in 1054 where then the Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church split.
As all these reforms and disagreements continued the major controversy of power was mounting. The Eastern and Western Popes were competing for respect, and as a result, they excommunicated each other in 1054. This is referred to as the schism, or separation, and the official beginning of the Eastern Orthodox church as a separate religion from the Roman Catholic church.

The town of Mecca was the birthplace of Islam, at first the leaders of the city refused the changing of this new religion and forced Muhammad to leave. Muhammad returned and preached to the people about what he had heard, that there is only one god. Islam spread quickly for two main reasons they are the message and military conquest.
Islam, on the other hand, started in Mecca, where Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) was born. He was believed to be that last nabi (messenger) that Allah will give to the world. The religion was not well accepted in its city of origin though, due to the opposition the Prophet faced as a nascent community . Later, he was invited to Medina and Islam expanded from there.
...h while the Ecumenical Council became the main authority for the Eastern Church. During the Crusades, Constantinople was fought over and pillaged more than once. It was generally a time of more fighting and disagreement that really led to sacred relics being dispersed throughout Europe. Finally attempts of reconciliation were made after Emperor Michael VIII led the recapture of Constantinople in 1261. In the city of Lyons in 1274 an agreement was reached, but it was soon rejected by the people and even some monks. Again an agreement was made in Florence in 1438 by Emperor John VIII and Patriarch. However this time the public on the eastern side (including some original signers) forbade a resolution. As a final point, the Great Schism can be said to have begun because of the political and theological differences, the Crusades, and the many attempts of reconciliation.
The widely popular religion of Islam originated in circa. 600 CE in the Arabian Peninsula with clan identity being the staple aspect of society. The rise and spread of Islam originating in 610 CE introduced many changes in the religious, cultural, political and social aspect of everyday life such as the introduction of a new monotheistic religion with equality as its backbone, the five pillars of Islam to provide unity, establishing the concept of a caliphate, and the forming of harems, respectively. The Bedouins of the Arabian Peninsula dominated the pre-Islamic world with kin-related clan groups and a political structure of a tribal leader, Shaykhs. Cities eventually developed in Southern and Western Arabia due to the transcontinental trade
