The world is rapidly changing now. Everything we see or hear now will be covered by something new in a few second. The reason why everything happens so quickly because globalization serves as a springboard for people to communicate with each other in more efficient way. In the past, it required a lot of times and efforts for people communicate with each other. People misunderstood each other because they were from different cultures and traditions. Also technologies was not as advanced as now. Even though people, in the past, were intelligent, they did not have good resources to support them to have better communication with others. As globalization raises, people around the world have better access to informations, so they understand each …show more content…
In other words, individual has ability to purchase their needs and wants. According to Brad Knickerbocker (2004) in “If Poor Get Richer, Does World See Progress?,” consumers around the world start growing especially people from China and India. Despite the fact that there are some negative impacts, the positive aspects of the globalization outweigh the negative aspects economically, technologically, and environmentally. Globalization has brought benefits to people such as job opportunities, better technological inventions, and having multicultural societies. It seems the whole world had become more united with each other better because communication has been easier and quicker. People are aware of what is going on around the world. Even though people cannot deny the fact that there are serious social and environmental problems happening around the globe, globalization helps people to cooperate with each other. Looking at how globalization changes the history of human, people are capable of accomplishing a lot of things. Everything rapidly changes, and no one know what is going to happen next. All the problems that might seem unsolvable would not be threats in the future because people are aware of
Our global world is being more connected as we become integrated politically, socially and even economically. Due to the Bretton woods agreement, different countries have been economically dependent on each other in fear for war to erupt. From then on different organizations and policies tied more countries into being economic globalized. This economic globalization had then given us many opportunities in trades and more access to natural resources in other countries. Unfortunately, there are some negative effects that are brought to less developed country. Overall, many people believe that economic globalization does a great work on accumulating our economy and our quality of life.
Globalization helps many people achieve greatness. But for the majority it brings hardships and struggle. People will be plagued by the effects of globalization and will have a tough time over coming it. We are far from reaching a point where we can say we have sustainable prosperity throughout our world. But before we focus in on sustaining prosperity, we must first reach prosperity and bring it to all corners or the earth.
Globalization is the process of people of different cultures or countries integrating through interacting through trade or the use of social media. In “Point: Globalization Provides a Better Life for All” By Jennifer Graham, she provides a valid point of view of how globalization has benefited society. “Globalization enriches the human experience through increased cultural and economic integration, which promotes diversity by opening society to new technology, communication and ideas...Moreover, globalization helps to break down discrimination against people on the basis of religious beliefs or race” (Para, 11,13). Globalization has an impact on my lifestyle because I am currently surrounded by technology and different cultural food. With globalization I have access to different foods that I would normally never get to try, also technology has allowed me to gain knowledge about different culture I would normally not know. This results in me being more informed and benefited about the world as a whole because of globalization bringing the different culture of the world so much closer

Regarding “The Age of Globalization” by Alan Brinkley I thought that the reading selection provides good details on timeline of significant events that significantly affected the global economy. The reading selection from the American History textbook starts off with a summary of event of September 11, 2001, and the role they played in the changes within global economy. On the next page we are presented with a timeline of events that will be described later in the reading selection. The purpose of this section is to illustrate how each of those events contributed to the world we live in today, particularly their influence on the global economy.
(Bilton et al 1996:5) The process of globalization has certainly had many changing effects to the world we live in; it has also changed the way many factors operate. Globalization is said "to have transformed the structure and scale of human relationships that social, cultural, political, and economic processes now operate at a global scale with a consequent reduction in the significance of other geographical scales. "(The Dictionary of human geography 2004:315) Globalization has had both positive and negative effects on a local, national, international and global level. Globalization often brings benefits at one level which cause negative effects at another, these results and the scale at which they manifest are often uncertain and unpredictable.
What is the future of our lives will look like? Specifically, what will business and business management will be like in ten years from now? Also, when it comes to the concept –The word is Flat- how this is effecting globalization and international business. When thinking about the future, international business is an important key point to think of. There have been various changes related to international business. From past to present even to the future, international business and its management will keep changing and there will be many different factors affecting it such as technology and other factors.
Globalization refers to the absence of barriers that every country had. Yes, it has helped to demolish the walls that separated us .Globalization, which is the process of growing interdependence among every country in this planet, can be seen as a sign of hopeful and better future by some, but for others it represents a huge disaster for the whole world. That’s why we are going to see the negative effect that globalization has on culture then focus on the ethical disadvantage it brought, to finally talk about the damage it did to skilled workers.
Today, it is not as effective as it used to be. Globalization brings cultures together. People visit places, either for studying or a vacation, when they travel they bring their cultures with them. Now, every society knows something about other cultures. People have some idea on existence of different cultures and religions.
Now, before I bash globalization it is some positive I would like to discuss. Globalization is great for the American economy; we can supply the world with our goods and services, which in turn can possible, relieve the deficit we’re in. “Homegrown industries see trade barriers fall and have access to a much wider international market. The growth this generates allows companies to develop new technologies and produce new products and services.” (Buzzle) Also, globalization leads to better relations between countries when they create trade agreements. Globalization does not drain every under-developed company but brings a new era of economic change and the hope of being a world super power to certain nations. “Economic globalization gives governments of developing nation’s access to foreign lending. These funds are used on infrastructure including roads, health car...
Globalization has been driven essentially by several minor factors varying from cultural, economic, political and ecological concerns, however, it’s being supported by the two macro factors underlining the trend towards superior globalizations. The two major drivers of globalization are; declining trade and investment barriers and the role of technological change (Hill, Cronk & Wickramsekera 2014). With the incorporation of innovative economic theories, I will discuss the key drivers of globalization since the 1970s. Furthermore, I will demonstrate how these key drivers have changed the nature of international business and determine the outcome.
Multiple technological advances have contributed to the advent of globalization, making it a reality in different ways across the globe, but globalization is sustained, in large part, by its mutually beneficial relationship with the interdependence theory. Globalization’s spread across the globe has not only forced nations to depend on each other or risk being left behind, but it has also effectively discarded the notion that national polities function as bounded or closed systems.
I have mixed opinions about globalization as a whole. I think for the economies of most countries it can be beneficial as it will help develop non-developed countries. Globalization has the potential to make the world a better place to live and solve some very long standing problems like unemployment and poverty, which will have a positive impact in the future. Other than having one world government, which I think would have a negative impact in the future, I think globalization will have a positive impact in the future, if it will increase wealth, decrease poverty and allows cultures to blend without each country losing their own cultures.
Globalization is a global process that is changing the world. I would also like to discuss what are the benefits and drawbacks of globalization in the world from different perspectives.
Loss of group identity and individualism because globalization promotes a western ideal of individualism. This advocate a homogeneous set of values.
