First of all, this old man stopped this guys who was as psyched about this party. He told him a story how he would he got get forgiveness. This guys went on vacation with his women to the Pacific Ocean. As they rolled out towards the ocean they saw the beauty of the ocean. Until one day he sees albertrous he sock him dead. The times were all gone and there was no wind. They sailed to far south and got stuck I the ice. There was no ice so they were stuck. The crew didn’t have any food or water. They thought the reason why the tides were low was because mariner shot this bird. For punishment he had to hang a rotten bird from his neck. around his neck broke off and ice broke and tide were high and he was sailing. The problem that he had was he didn’t have enough help to row this huge ship. Everyone that died came back to life and they helped him row the boat. There were like lighting. Speeding through the ocean fast as they could. As they got close to shore the boat cracked and stated to sink. All the corpse all drowned. The man found a person on a boat and gave him a ride. He asked the man how he could receive forgiveness and the man said tell someone this story and it will change their life. The purpose of this story is that “it’s better to go to church than go to a party”. This made me realize that who is going to help us with our trials and our good times? God will he will be here for us no matter what. All we need to do is to communicate with him. This doesn’t mean that we should all make bad choices and we will get blessings out of them. We need to try our best on earth and make the right choices. They will help us with a successful life. Also, all life has a meaning to it.
We all have a purpose here on earth. In this poem it teaches us that we need to treat nature with respect. “For all averred, I had killed the bird”. This is saying the man had killed the bird. It was a very innocent bird. We should leave nature alone. It hasn’t done any harm to you. We all need to realize this.” He who prayeth best, who lovest best both man and bird and beast”. This means that we need to turn to God for help. This will help us out a lot in life. This old man had told this story to the man went home after the story. When he woke up the next day he felt wiser and more sad. Why is this? The reason why I think that the man woke up wiser beasuse he knew something he didn’t know before. His story can be an inspiration to us because we can learn from his mistakes and not make the same
one. Not last but not least, we need to not only respect nature but life too. The choices that we make today can shape our future forever. Just like in the last paragraph we need to make the right choices. It can bring so much happiness. The reasons why I think he woke up more sad is because he knows if we make bad choices we have to live with that forever. How much we really want to go back and rewind we cant. They are purmient. From coldrige I have learned a lot. It seems life we all get caught up in life and we are so focused on things and we don’t realise we need to pray for everything we got. It might seem weird that we would thank God for the trials in life, but what we don’t realize that we can learn from them and be better. In conclusion, this poem has so much meaning to it. We can perfect our lives today so we won’t have any regrets. We will never regret making the right choice. So many blessings come from this. Coleridge had wrote an amazing poem and it teaches us about life. Remember where we came from and see the blessings we can get out of life.
In the narrative poem “Cautionary Tale of Girls and Birds of Prey” the author, Sandy Longhorn, tells the story of a young girl who is afraid of a hawk, and her inconsiderate father who doesn’t take her concerns seriously. The story shows how her father is determined to get rid of her fear of the hawk, because he thinks it is both foolish and childish. The daughter very well knows the capability of the hawk, however her father doesn’t acknowledge it until it is too late. In the poem, Longhorn uses alliteration and rhyme to help explore the theme of how being inconsiderate towards others can in the end hurt you as much as it hurts them. The poem takes place on a little farm where the girl and her father live with all of their livestock.
The purpose of the poem was to express my interests of nature and how I felt and what I experienced when I was in the woods at that time. There’s also that life and death aspect in this poem, in which the bird has the lizard in his mouth and also by the word “fire”.

In the 1798 and the 1817 text of the, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, There are certain changes. Changes that effect the poem and the way that the reader sees the poem. Some of these changes include reading devices called glosses. There are many reasons for the glosses to be put into the poem. One of the reasons is to help the reader interpret lines in the poem that can be confusing. To briefly summarize this poem, I believe that the poem could be separated into three parts: The first part is composed in the first and second letters, which stress on the negative emotions towards the miserable pains, illnesses that the parents are baring, and also their hatred of the birds. The second part, I believe will be the third and fourth letters, which talks about the birds’ fights and the visiting lady from the church. And the last part, starts from the fifth letters to the rest of them, which mainly describe the harmonious life between the parents and those birds.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner: Wrong Actions The idea of people making wrong actions and having to pay for them afterwards is not new. The Christian religion centers itself around the confession of sins done by men or women. Luckily, they have the power to repent and do penance to receive God’s forgiveness. God sends people this power and people around the world mimic this cycle of crime, punishment, repentance, and reconciliation in court systems and other penal codes.
Even if he grew up within nature, he didn’t really appreciate it until he became an adult. He is pantheistic; a belief that nature is divine, a God. Since he has religious aspect of nature, he believes that nature is everything and that it makes a person better. His tone in the poem is reproachful and intense. His poem purpose is to tell the readers and his loved ones that if he feels some kind of way about nature, then we should have the same feeling toward it as well.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge's “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” seems like a simple story of a man lost at sea and defeating the odds, but if you hone in on the visual and aural details you see that it’s much more. The whole story revolves around the theme of religious transformation and Coleridge uses these visual and aural symbols to convey and drive home this theme.
Although this poem is reverent to the yellow bird, it is undoubtedly about its death and burial; it is a poem about beauty that has been “extinguished”. The “electric, excited, murmurous”(36-38) bird whose beauty pertained to its “defiance”(54) was entrapped, restricted, forced to go against its natural ways. Even when Neruda mentions the beauty of the bird, he does not forget to attach the reminder that it no longer exists or that it was taken away from the bird. The characteristics, the “yellow flashes, the black lightning”(lines 10-11), that once made the bird one with nature were covered in dirt when it was buried. Readers can imagine not only the bird encaged and dead, but also the way Neruda associated its color and way of being to one of nature 's occurrences. So when the reader imagines the bird buried, they also see yellow and black lightning. And the inevitable noise and the feeling of fearful amazement that comes with it. The burial of a bird is also a reminder of the mood at people’s funerals. Moreover, many people keep birds as pets trapped in a small cage rather than let it be free where it 's supposed to be. This easy to understand and timeless poem provides readers with an understanding of the author’s appreciation for nature. Although the poem continues to be read over one hundred years after it was written, there is little sense of the time period within which it was composed. The title and first line, “A Bird came down the Walk,” describes a common familiar observation, but even more so, it demonstrates how its author’s creative ability and artistic use of words are able to transform this everyday event into a picture that results in an awareness of how the beauty in nature can be found in simple observations. In a step like narrative, the poet illustrates the direct relationship between nature and humans. The verse consists of five stanzas that can be broken up into two sections. In the first section, the bird is eating a worm, takes notice of a human in close proximity and essentially becomes frightened. These three stanzas can easily be swapped around because they, for all intents and purposes, describe three events that are able to occur in any order. Dickinson uses these first three stanzas to establish the tone; the tone is established from the poet’s literal description and her interpretive expression of the bird’s actions. The second section describes the narrator feeding the bird some crumbs, the bird’s response and its departure, which Dickinson uses to elaborately illustrate the bird’s immediate escape.
