I was sitting in a basement that smelled bad and was stuffy, I needed to get out of there. I was with my friend who liked to ride bikes. So, we decided to ride bikes. Outside we only had 1 normal bike, the other was an old bike with a banana seat on it. I lost a coin toss so I had to ride the trashy bike that had trouble even going straight. There was a trail down at the park where we would ride the bikes. We thought we would go there first and then go climb on playground after. At the very beginning of the trail there’s this difficult hill that goes pretty fast and shoots you right at a left turn. If you didn’t slow down and turn fast enough you would crash. I had complete confidence that I wouldn’t crash. I’d done it plenty of times at that
speed and never crashed. This time was different. My brakes and steering broke at the same time. I wasn’t scared, i’d never been hurt before in my life and I didn’t think today would be the day. I hit a little lip of dirt right before I went into the woods and it launched me about 2 feet off the ground. In the air I had the idea to jump off the bike so I wouldn’t hurt my legs under the bike. When I jumped off the bike I went even higher and sideways. I started to turn so I could land on my shoulder/back, I couldn’t see the tree. My head hit just before I hit the ground. I woke up a few minutes later, I didn’t know where I was. My head felt as if someone was banging my it on the ground over and over. I thought my head would be bleeding but I went to feel it and there was nothing but a huge lump. I felt super sick to my stomach and couldn’t stand for a long while. I found my balance and got up to find my friend. He was waiting for me at the playground. I explained to him what happened and he agreed to go home. My head hurt so bad I couldn’t ride the bike back I had to walk. I live 5 minutes from the park. It felt like 5 hours. I didn’t know what to do, how to treat my injury. I decided to sleep it off. Later I found out that wasn’t a great idea.
Firstly, with Hickory Hollow is the disappearing crayfish in Ribbon Cave. This problem, it seems, is the result of heavy metals found in the water. The heavy metals were found at the site of Ribbon Cave, as well as the northern portion of Aram Creek. We tested for heavy metals at well sites G, I, L, M, and S for heavy metals, with the only positives being well sites I and L. Nevertheless, this still confirmed our theory. The heavy metals found in the water have most likely resulted from Compara Corp’s hazardous waste spills, a problem that has occurred multiple times. The heavy metals found in the water being lead, tin, copper, and ammonia would then be highly probable. To fix this problem the answer is simple, “The answer, according to the agency and an outside expert, is twofold: treatment and dilution” (Pappas, 1). Treating the water is simple: the water needs the acidity to be reduced. After that is done, you must dilute the water (add water to the creek). However, the problems will never fully go away, but they will be greatly decreased. In conclusion, in order to save the lives of the crayfish, Hickory Hollow must treat Aram Creek in order to strip the heavy metals.
One of the funniest wrecks i had was right after i gt my new dirt bike it was on christmas day and i thought i could go faster then what i should be going and then i was going through a curve and the next thing i know i'm on the
John Jackson Riker was born on April 6th, 1858 in Newton, Long Island, New York, in what is now Elmhurst in the New York borough of Queens, New York. The Riker family ancestry extends back to the early Dutch settlers in New York, specifically of the old Van Rycken family of Amsterdam. Several members of the old Van Rycken family were successful in establishing Dutch independence alongside William I, Prince of Orange in the Dutch Revolt. The first American settler of the Rycken family was Abraham Rycken from Amsterdam to New Netherland in 1636. Later in 1654, Abraham would acquire a land in the Township of Newtown in present day Queens. On this land, the Riker family established the Riker Homestead and burial ground.

4. Roller coaster engineers work with a design team in a variety of tasks concerning the construction of roller coasters. The main duties involve deciding what type of roller coaster to use, determining how to place the track, developing the control systems and verifying that the ride is safe for the public. Generally, engineers try to make rides, exciting by including special arrangements that enhance some element of the ride. Loops in the track, embankments and the use of natural scenery are some examples that may add to the thrill of a roller coaster. The engineers usually make around 87,000 per year. Safety is a major concern for a roller coaster engineering design team. Engineers are often required to test the rides many times to make sure they meet the right speeds, weights and forces set forth in the design. No specific major exists in roller coaster engineering, though a design team is typically made up of structural, electrical and mechanical engineers. Many universities offer bachelor's degree engineering programs in these disciplines Roller coaster engineers need to obtain state licensure. Graduation from a state-approved bachelor's degree program typically qualifies engineers to begin the path to becoming licensed. New engineers take an entry-level licensure test that allows them to work under the supervision of a fully licensed engineer.
As I walked to school with my lunch that was in a plastic bag. Once we got into school and got in the building my teacher Mr. Williams took attendance and five minutes later we turned around and got on the bus. It was windy and there were leaves blowing all over the place. Last year my 5th grade at John Stewart elementary school was going to Leroy Oakes in St. Charles for team building. It was a fall day and it was chilly. I had my drawstring on my back with my lunch and had three coats on. We turned onto a road called Dean Street and it was bordered by grass. I saw the Leroy Oaks sign, and my bus went over a speed bump that threw my class off balance. After awhile my class off the bus with a skip and a jump in my step. Then I was super excited that our
Handshoe had to get all of the tickets and drink bracelets. Next we got inside and Me, Landon, and Zach got a locker so we didn't have to carry around our bags all day. So the we go to our first ride of the day but Zach was to scared to get on anything so he just waited, we got on the Corkscrew, and it had a ton of twists and turns. After that we just walked around for a while, but then landon got to scared to get on anything else and so it was just me. So me and Landon were supposed to go on this ride called the Magnum, so i got into one of the cars and then i told Landon to come on and he said ha ha, no, and so i was stuck on this ride all by myself and i was kinda scared. After what landin did to me i just found another group to ride rides with and so i found Brandon Chase's group and just rode rides with them and Bradlee Kinnard, We rode The Rougarou, The Millennium Force, and a ton of other rides, and while on most of the rides i lost my voice and got sunburned. Then it was time to
Four-wheeler riding with a part of my family, I realized how crazy my dad could be. Leaving the others behind, my cousin Brittany and I hurried through the woods trying to compete with my dad. When I finally caught up with my dad, my four wheeler came to a complete stop. My dad instructed me to let my cousin drive my four-wheeler and ride with him. When I climbed onto the four-wheeler with my dad, we waited for my mom and sister to catch up. Then we raced through the mud with my mom and sister trailing us, my dad stopped and did doughnuts in the mud getting mud all over
I designed a roller coaster and Newton's first, second, and fourth laws affected it but why? But I do know something what those laws are the first law is inertia, the second law is acceleration, and the fourth law is universal gravitation.
In grade 2 on the weekend I went to my friends house for a sleepover and we started playing with his little brother. We played a few games and nothing went wrong. Then we played a game where we were running away from his brother and he had to catch us. So we ran upstairs and into his room. We covered the door so he couldn’t get in, but eventually we let him in and he couldn’t get my friend so he went for me. When he finally got me he grabbed my legs and I fell and my head hit the corner of his bed and I was bleeding and screaming like crazy. So I ran down the stairs screaming my bloody head off. So hi mom drove me to the hospital and gave me ice: for my head. When we got the the hospital I was so scared I wasn’t even
friends and I were as jittery as a novice driver as none of us had
One day when I was five and in Begindergarton When my friends and I went outside for recess most of us went straight to the big part of the playground. Just like the other kids I had to wait my turn. Finally it was my turn, and I was not following the rules. I was not going the right way we were supposed to on the jungle gym After I had a couple of turns on the monkey bars I went again and that was when I fell off.
It all started when school l was out. I hopped on my bike and rode it two feet and the chain snapped in half and then I got distracted and went the wrong way and thought I seen my grandma's house but it
After three hours we arrived at our first break stop. We stopped at a section that was on top of the waterfall. The view was amazing and spectacular because we had never seen anything like this. As we continued our hike after several more break stops, and nine more hours of hiking, we finally arrived at the top of El Capitan. Once we got to the top the view was amazing. We could not imagine how beautiful it was up there on top of the world. After about half an hour we started heading back down, when all of a sudden out of no where I felt someone push me out of the way. A man that was in a hurry to get back down pushed me so hard, that I lost my balance and fell of a twenty foot cliff. At that moment in time I could see flashbacks of my life. After a couple seconds of falling I somehow landed between two rocks which shattered my right foot. After that happen every one that was there tried to get help but unfortunately cell phones do not work in Yosemite, but the man that pushed me over the cliff had a walky-talky and he called for help.
I jumped out of the car with my two sisters and ran to the bathroom. When we left the bathroom, we walked back to the car. We saw that our dad was still putting gas in the car, so we went into the store to buy some sweets. I bought “warheads” that said extremely sour, and a bag of chips called “baked with fire” that looked like they would taste really hot. When we purchased our food, we walked back to the car. As soon as we started driving, I opened my bag of chips. I was so scared that they would be extremely hot. For that reason, I also bought a bottle of water. I opened it before I took a bite out of the chip. Luckily, they were not hot at all! I grabbed my sour candy and tasted it. My face changed so quickly; that I started to squint my eyes and point my lips. I could not take another bite of it because it was really sour! Eventually, I was not hungry anymore. Probably because I ate my whole bag of chips and a sandwich. When I finished eating, I was feeling exhausted, so I took a long nap. I woke up, and dad told me that we only needed to drive for one more hour. While we were driving through town, we saw a row of trees on fire! It was so smoky that we could barely see the street we were driving on. I felt scared for life and terrified that we might crash. After a few more minutes of driving, the smoke cleared up and we could see again. Finally, the hour passed and we arrived in California. Mrs.
