Forty-Fourth President, Barack Hussein Obama in his speech, the Inaugural Address, describes how he will make improvements to the American way. Obama’s purpose in his Inaugural speech is to help the audience understand his passion and his new views he sees for America as the newly elected leader. Obama uses a very humble and exciting tone in the speech. Obama begins his speech by stating the problems in the country and what we can do as America to help fix it. He appeals a tone of fear toward the audience explaining the different problems in the past with the nation, “Our health care is too costly, our schools fail too many -- and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet”.
