Depite the use of ethos and pathos, Trumps speech would not have been memorable without logos. Trump points out on multiple occasions how former politicians did not responsibly use our money. “ We spent 2 trillions dollars in Iraq, 2 trillion”(2). Trump wants us to understand that after spending 2 trillion dollars we have nothing to show for it. Trump wants you to understand how that was not a logically sound decision. We gained nothing from it. “The 5 Billion website”(3). That refers to the Obama care website that hardly works today. He wants Americans to understand we have money going out, no money coming in. Trump uses pathos to relate to you as the average American, also to provide them with the confidence that he will make American Number One again. After the war in Iraq we had many vets who were injured and unable to work. “ We have wounded soldiers, who I love. I love. Their great”(2). Trump wants you to feel heard.
