Watchman Nee, wrote a book called Sit, Walk and Stand. This book focuses on the book of Ephesians so lets get started.
Chapter one talks about how we often try to walk before we sit and listen and learn. There are four steps we should know about walking in the Spirit.
1. Knowing – Who we are in Jesus.
2. Recognize – As the Spirit moves in us.
3. Yield – Presenting your body as a living sacrifice.
4. Walking – Walking it out.
We are sitting with Christ in heavenly places. Jesus is not looking to inform us but transform us. The good news of the gospel is more then repent of sin. There are Spiritual blessing in heavenly places.
1. Sit – To be seated in heavenly places.
2. Walk – Walk worthy of His calling.
3. Stand – Stand strong in the faith.
In the story, The Watcher by James Howe, a girl named Margaret feels invisible and isolated because nobody thinks she is important. Margaret is a poor and outcast skinny girl. She writes in her journal about how she wishes her family life could be better. She was also being abused by her father and never attempted to call the Police. She also had a rough and bad Childhood. The first time Chris Spoke to Margaret(The Watcher) all he discovered at was a pain, sadness, and Loneliness.
I believe the most important concept that I gained from reading the book was to remain faithful, in good times and in bad. Walking blindly can be very terrifying, but God always has a plan for each and every one of us. At times, the plan remains unseen, and that should not deter or slow me on the path that my heart is yearning

Brent Staples, who was a journalist of the New York Times, and studied mental philosophy from the University of the Chicago, shows the different subject positions in his published version of the “Just Walk on By: A Black Man Ponders His Power to Alter Public Space”, and his draft version of the “Just Walk on By”. Brent Staples wrote two different versions of the essay, but the each essay’s subject position is pretty different to the reader. Also, each subject position describes the same situation quite differently by illustrating each way of looking based on dissimilar perspectives. In his Published version, he describes himself “I was twenty-two years old, a graduate student newly arrived at the University of Chicago”(Staples 240). Also, the published version says, “To her, the youngish black man—a broad six feet two inches with a beard and billowing hair, both hands shoved into the pockets of a bulky military jacket—seemed menacingly close”(Staples 240). However, in another version, which is the draft version of the essay before publication, he draws himself “I was wearing my navy pea jacket, the collar turned up, my hands snug in the pockets”(Staples “Another Version”). In another version of his essay, there is no describes the woman’s position who ran away after saw the writer of this personal essay. Without the title, and the author of the writer, those two personal essays seems entirely different to the reader, and each subject positions of these essays makes same situation diversely, which means each perspective and ways of looking make two different essays

Jesus was crucified on the cross and resurrected on the third day so that we may be forgiven and be a new person in Christ. When we have accepted Christ and decided to follow Him with all our hearts, minds, and souls then we must tell others of the glorious news of the Lord Jesus and how much He loves them. We cannot have close redemption and just keep it where we are comfortable and to ourselves. Instead we need to use cosmic redemption and share the word with the world so that everyone around us may to be with the Lord and us in Heaven one day. It is very important, even if you only have a chance to help one person maybe they will go and tell others and it will just cause a domino
And, we are personally called to the baptism and the Lord’s Supper along with being personally called to many other things (p. 26). The Christian walk, to Baptists, is one that is between God and an individual first and
She moves through all eighteen chapters by dissecting the meaning of all twelve truths labeled as “Healing Truth”. The first truth tells the reader that if God allows pain it is because there is a purpose for it. A purpose that will work out for good. The chapters are arranged in a way that the reader understands why God works the way that he does even if it does not make sense. She also chose to include how some people burden themselves with pain they themselves can bring to a halt. After all the soul searching she encourages the book ends on the twelfth Healing Truth. The twelfth of the truths explains to the reader how the only way to heal is if the “healing begins at the cross” for it is “the greatest expression of God’s love”. The writing is set up so simple and easy to understand. It is very difficult to get lost reading her book.
... We are from the kingdom of the Father and are sent down to complete a task, while on earth we forget where we are from and what we are supposed to be doing here. Jesus tries to remind us through his parables and sayings that we are not of this world. And if and when we finally remember this, we take off our "dirty clothes" and return to the kingdom of our Father.
Chapter 1 of Steps to Christ helped me to understand that God reveals His love to us by using Jesus as a way to connect to us. Christ was the medium through which He could pour out His infinite love upon a fallen world (White 4). Before this reading, I never really focused on the fact that Jesus basically acted as "God's interpreter" for mankind. Jesus was able to show God's loving character to us by His own behavior and actions on Earth. It amazes me to think that Jesus came down from a place full of glory and riches to a wicked place full of chaos to die for a world that didn't even love Him. He knew that he would be suffering from hatred, death, humiliation, and shame but He still volunteered to die for us anyways (White 4). This reading

The first chapter deals with the resurrection life of Jesus Christ. The second chapter talks about transforming our minds through the Holy Spirit. The key reason for that, explained in chapter three, so that other people can see God’s life through us and how we make decisions resulting in the glorification of God. Chapter four, however, is showing the truth in which our mind should be set on shown in God’s word. Then that’s when chapter five talks about the way we relate to God in overcoming this world through His name. Finally, we come to chapter six where Hodges refer back to chapter five, saying that we should pursue God’s glory on the regular bases. Doing this intentionally and being focus to have the proper mindset. The six step or chapters should open our eyes so that we can discover God’s purpose for our lives through Christ
In his book Celebration of Discipline, Richard J. Foster speaks of the importance of having a path to spiritual growth. With that he mentions that there are twelve disciplines (meditation, prayer, fasting, study, simplicity, solitude, submission, service, confession, worship, guidance, and celebration) that lead God’s people closer to him. Each discipline is divided into three groups which are: Inward (meditation, prayer, fasting, and study), Outward (simplicity, solitude, submission, and services), and Corporate (confession, worship, guidance, and celebration). Each discipline shows different ways or steps to become closer to God. The Outward Disciplines show how people can walk with God by helping others, and it makes the world a happier
Good Deeds then gets called upon. They say that even though they want to go on the journey, they are unable to at the moment. They advise Everyman to speak to Knowledge. Knowledge is the one that brings Everyman on the journey to cleanse himself. They first go to Confession, which gives him a penance.
Our main goal is to present everyone fully mature in Christ. (Col. 1:28) we warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. (1 Th. 5:14-15) We pray for them (Jam. 5:13-16) and help them to recognize and repent for their sins. (Matt.
