At Community Boards, the skills and disciplines that I learned was that I was able to handle clients through phone calls more effectively and in a manner in which I can be neutral. I also learned to be very patient with some clients over the phone, where some phone calls had spent over an hour of the client’s time talking to me about their issues at their residence. In Physical Education it is key, I not only have to show visually the movements and actions but verbalize and communicate the sequences for students to use as guidelines for success. If my communication is not clear I had a bank of different word approaches to get through to students if it must be differentiated for them. I ambitiously decided that I would brighten the lives of the elderly by volunteering at a rest home, but discovered that the elderly were being neglected, shoved aside and forgotten. As I stepped into the home a pungent odor penetrated my nostrils, causing an instantaneous gagging reflex. The place was abounded with neglected and subdued inhabitants, yearning for attention. Anybody that passed them caused a sudden outburst of ranting. The negligence and disregard the home displayed appalled me, but helped me to realize that I wanted to make a difference and change the condition people live in.

Communication is the key to partnership and humanity as a whole. As I work in a kindergarten through eigth grade school I come into contact with a lot pf people. I find communicating faily easy. As I had conversations with all personnel listed in the assignment I have realized that I enjoy talking with others.

Great speech practices may enhance a person’s opportunity of moving up within the company he or she works for, as well as venturing off to higher positions in a professional field.
