The Indian Retail Landscape Retail involves the sale of goods from a single point (markets, malls, and department stores etc.) directly to the customer in small quantities for his use. In simple words we can also say that retail means transaction of goods between the buyer and seller in small quantity to satisfy the need of the customer. The retail landscape looks different today from what it was five years ago. A person who buy the product are taking advantage of this new retail landscape and have become more selective in their choice of where to shop.
