Imagine all the people you’ve lost, all the people you spent months mourning and grieving over in a river of tears. What if we could bring them back? Soon enough, death will be inferior to us as we’ve been its slave for centuries. Science has made bringing back the dead possible no matter the consequences or drawbacks. We should not bring people back, from the dead because we don’t know what could happen, overpopulation, and it could disturb the grieving process and other factors of human development. Resurrection is extremely dangerous, especially since we don’t fully understand the consequences. If we bring someone that was deceased, they may come back lacking the ability to communicate. As of 2016, the world consists of about 7.442 billion people in the world and about 323.1 million of those people live in the United States. We are already running out of space for people to live and adding the dead will only create a further problem. Another part of this is that the UNICEF estimates that an average of 353,000 babies are born each day around the world. Clearly, there is already a lack of space for these children to grow up. Furthermore, if people will not be dying, we may have to kill some so that we can make room for more. We may even have to dispose of unborn children. Some may say it is helpful to see your loved ones again and never have to truly say goodbye. This naive belief will cause you to be fragile and frail in the real world. Basic hardships will internally destroy you and set you even further back if strength and toleration are not developed. Mortality, the subject of death, has been a curious topic to scholars, writers, and the common man. Each with their own opinion and beliefs. My personal belief is that one should accept mortality for what it is and not go against it.
In his book, Ordinary Resurrections: Children in the Years of Hope, Jonathan Kozol pulls back the veil and provides readers with a glimpse of the harsh conditions and unrelenting hope that exists in a community located in the South Bronx called Mott Haven. Just his commentary would paint a very bleak picture of the future. It is the words of the children that give this book optimism and meaning. The courage and care exhibited by the volunteers of St. Ann's after school program and the creativity of the teachers at P.S. 30 are utterly inspiring. They work long hours and go beyond the call of duty to protect the innocence and cultivate the hope that resides in the hearts of Mott Haven's youngest residents.

As with most other Pauline attributed documents, 1 Corinthians is believed to be a single document that addresses salient topics and rationalizes Paul’s view of faithfulness to Christ with Corinth citizens. The newly founded church of Corinth was in correspondence with Paul requesting his answers to questions they posed on topics ranging from marriage to the resurrection of the dead; the latter being one of the most highlighted in 1 Corinthians. Paul’s assurance of resurrection illustrates a concern for Corinth as he admonishes their disbelief in resurrection of the dead with a series of explanations as to why such doubt would render the faith of Christ “in vain”. Doctors and scientists are making technologies to make body parts work again but not bring a person back. Religions that believe in an afterlife believe the soul is what animates the person and is what makes them a person. If a person is brought back, the question is then asked if their soul is brought back as well and would they be yanked back to their body from an afterlife? The idea of being awoken after death is seen as playing god. Humans naturally do not have the ability to resurrect anything non-living nor should we try.
