I believe the role of the Resident Assistant is to first be a witness of a hard-working student, a committed friend, and a leader at Holy Cross College. The importance of being a hard-working student as an RA is to set expectations in your floor or dorm high in terms of effort towards a cultivation of the mind because that is the main reason we go to college. However, I feel the most important aspect is to be a committed friend. To be committed is to be an to talk or give advice any time and any day of the school year, but also to be able to discipline them when they have broken the rules because a RA should want their friends to mature into an adult in college so that they learn how to be self-discipline before they are sent out into the "real

Physician assistants (PA's) practice medicine under the supervision of physicians and surgeons. PA's are trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services, as delegated by a physician. They work with members of a healthcare team, they take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x rays, and make diagnoses. PAs may be the principal care providers in rural or inner city clinics where a physician is present for only one or two days each week. In such cases, the PA confers with the supervising physician and other medical professionals as

Although some medical practitioners perceive the role
Any job in the medical field is great, because it will always be needed no matter what. Doctors, nurses, techs, etc. are all very important and necessary people, but the people behind the scenes are just as important, medical administrative assistants. Being a medical administrative assistant seems awfully difficult, you have all these responsibilities but at the end of the day you’ll have a sense of satisfaction because you may have possibly really helped a patient or family with a serious and hard situation. There are different types or categories of medical administrative assistants, you have the front office, the back office, the clinic setting, private practices, and the floating position. Duties for

Teaching means more than just giving students information about a subject. Teaching is about building relationships, and finding ways to support students in their pursuit for learning. Support can be both in the classroom (or the setting where the learning takes place), and outside of this realm. I have gained skills pertinent to support and relationship building throughout my experiences as a resident assistant, peer advisor and a peer tutor.
9. Residency status is a question of fact and is one of the main criteria that determines an individual's liability to Australian income tax. Liability to tax is determined on a year by year basis. Events after the year of income may assist in determining an individual's residency status: FC of T v. Applegate 79 ATC 4307; (1979) 9 ATR 899 (Applegate).
For instance, if Ashley’s parents had not blamed her or had supported her after the assault, the outcome of the short film could have been one of an extremely different and happier story. In addition, this film pertains to being a resident assistant because if your resident enters this dark period or much before this period were to occur, it is important to approach the residents discussing his or her feelings, notifying your coordinator, and describing to them the different resources on campus. Alternatively, the film demonstrates not only as a RA but also as a human being do not judge others based off a single story, but also take the whole individual in consideration, as he or she may be one of the brightest and nicest people you become acquainted with. Lastly, another aspect that makes this film pertain to being an RA is the fact that educating and/or bringing your floor to different events on Penn State with regards in this case to LBGTQA in order for them to develop a new perspective which leads to a greater acceptance and openness. Overall, I believe this film pertains to being an RA because you must support the victim and educate the others before anything were to
The Senior Experience was an excellent project to prepare me for the challenges common in college and the real world. One obstacle I faced was creating an appointment with the Lexington County Sheriffs Department. It was difficult waiting on the police department to contact me back, while deadlines for when I needed job shadowing forums steadily approached. Along with that, I had difficulties managing my time, because as a Student Athletic Training Aid I had to stay late after school everyday. I overcame this by finding work I could do in the baseball dugout and working over the weekend. On the other hand, Ms. Capers and I worked well together. We had the same ILT and could meet whenever needed. The only problem was that I chose a teacher that had not been an advisor before, luckily I was able to explain what her role was well enough.
Today we expected 21 patients, therefore the department needed assistance from another therapy, since it was only Maggie as an OT. Micheal, who was an intern in the department came in to assist Maggie with patients. Michael introduced himself by stating he was a student from NYU, and that he was allowed the opportunity to work at NYP/Q after completing his internship. I was also able to assist Michael throughout his session and was impressed of how soft spoken he was with patients. Patients explained that they were extremely comfortable with Michael because he took his time throughout the session, and went with the same pace as the patients. He did not seem as though he was in a hurry with the sessions, and gave patients his undivided attention.
Having a relationship with the students is a key factor in the academic success of the individual students. “When advisors help facilitate conversations between students and faculty members, they help the institution as a whole. When students feel connected to the campus community, they are more often retained and excel academically, creating a winning situation for everyone.” (Duberstein, 2009). When a student feels important to the advisor and knows that their needs and personal situations are taken into consideration, which is when a trusting student-advisor relationship is created. The advisor has a duty to take into consideration the cultural aspects of each of their students. By being aware of the individual cultures of each student and
Upon receiving MM in to care I was focused on caring for an acute care client and not one at the end-of-life. In reflection I felt that my client was not going to live much longer, but I did not know it would be only a few short hours after I left my shirt that she did pass away peacefully (this was share with me from a fourth year nursing student who was at her side when she died). Unfortunately I was not able to meet or communicate with MM’s family to help support them through this transition of life. I was able o come to know that MM had 5 supportive children and an elderly husband whom come to visit after my shift. This was comforting to know that they were able to say their good bye. As far implementing healing initiatives, I felt
The interdisciplinary course is a core requirement in the after-degree nursing program as it incorporates the principles of self-directed learning and promotes critical thinking, which is an essential element in nursing practice. As a final year nursing student, I believe that knowledge from this course will enhance my ability to provide patient-centered care.
The goal of this project is to start up a Skilled Nursing home that will be located in Washington this won’t be like regular nursing homes because innovation and transformation is key, and my goal is to create an environment that is surrounded by friendly staff, scenic views and all around fun for our patients. It will consist of 45 rooms and maximum capacity of 60 patients. The overall objective of this business plan is to identify how a Skilled nursing facility might operate in the King County area. Public and private Sponsors may use this document to decide how to best proceed to meet the community’s overall needs for elderly living. In order to fund the startup costs for this nursing home a low-interest loan of 250,000 needs to be taken out along with donation’s and pledges we intend to receive by our kickoff date January 1st, 2017.
