All my money has been invested into experiments with which I have made new discoveries enabling mankind to have a little easier life.” (Politika, 1927) During his 86 years Nikola Tesla obtained around 300 patents worldwide for his inventions, while many inventions developed by Tesla were not patent protected. Tesla’s inventions ranged from alternating current motors to a World Wireless System which is a proposed telecommunications and electrical power delivery system and Teleforce which is a self-defense weapon system that used pellets or slugs that were accelerated to a high velocity in a vacuum chamber then fired out of nozzles that would aim at the target. He received investments from all over to help form the Henry Ford Company in 1899. Ford’s father was proud to see his son’s name on automobiles, but was frustrated when Ford needed to constantly improve the efficiency. Ford left his namesake company in 1902 for financial reasons. After he left, it changed names to the Cadillac Motor Car Company. Later that year, Ford founded the Ford Motor Company. A month after the company was formed, the Ford Model A was built at the Ford Motor Plant in Detroit. Only a couple of these cars were able to be made every day, so sales were slow. There were only about 2 to 3 workers to assemble these cars. But Ford was motivated to create an efficient and consumer friendly automobile. These innovations resulted in the Ford Model T. The Model T was a great liftoff for Ford and his company, and as a result, he practiced techniques of mass production the would change American Industry, including using large production plants. The mass production technique made it easier for people to assemble cars and the rate of producing these cars were much quicker. It was also a cheaper way to produce automobiles, and in 1914, Ford was able to raise the daily wage to 5 dollars. Production skyrocketed for the Model T and by 1918, half of America had purchased these inexpensive and readily available cars. In 1919, Ford made his son Edsel as the president of the company, but Ford still kept control of the company’s day to day operations. That same year, Ford stopped making the Model T and invented the New and improved Model A , which had better horsepower and brakes, and better overall improvements. By this time, Ford had sold 15 million Model T’s and had opened plants that manufactured the Model

Environmental concerns have been raised from time to time because of the dependency on the gasoline-fueled engine as the chief auto powertrain technology. This has resulted in exposing many automobile users to unpredictable prices of fuel. These issues were, however, the reason for the inception of Tesla Motors so as to bring into existence another set of automotive which serves the similar purpose; but uses another form of energy that being electricity to drive them instead of the disadvantageous gasoline-powered engine. This invention was influenced by a number of factors in terms of their planning and performance (Hunger, 2010).
Despite its success, Tesla Motors has been facing serious challenges throughout its history, for example:
Apart from Musk’s concise vision statement Tesla has a truly inspiring mission statement, “At the core, Tesla Motors believes that electric cars should not be perceived as a sacrificial mode of transportation. Imagine a world by candlelight or inefficient and or dangerous incandescent or arc lamps, a world without practical electricity, transformers, and many other things necessary for modern life that most take for granted or haven’t even heard of. This could be the scary reality we may live in if it wasn’t for an ingenious inventor named Nikola Tesla. With at least 278 patents to his name, Nikola Tesla changed the world through the application and use of his inventions. Despite all this, he wound up penniless, alone, and rejected while others were making the equivalent of millions with his inventions, only becoming a common household name by around the 2000s. Any and everyone should be able to state, with complete certainty, that Nikola Tesla is
