My mom's pound cake is the best pound cake that i have ever had. she makes it every year when it is cold outside so it warms the whole house. the best part she uses the best ingredients when she is making the pond cake so that makes it even better.

3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for pan
