How is Michael Jordan considered an artist? Michael Jordan played basketball and was good enough for the NBA. Better yet Michael Jordan was also an entrepreneur, he endorsed in several deals with big brands, and with present day NBA Stars. He continues to inspire young athletes around the world. Jordan is and artist because of his career as an athlete, and his entrepreneur skills. Along with these awards in the year of 1988 Jordan won the USA Gold Medal for Men's basketball, and the DPOY(Defensive Player of the Year) for the NBA. Michael Jordan, also known as His Airness, MJ, and Air Jordan, is widely considered the greatest basketball players of all time. Throughout his professional career, Jordan kept changing the game and redefined the entire sport of basketball. However, in 2002, an aspiring athlete by the name of LeBron Raymone James, also known as King James or simply LeBron, immediately rose to prominence and caught the attention of the entire NBA community.
