The annual MCAS Cherry Point Airshow will be held on May 4 – 6, 2018. This family friendly show is a great way to kick off the summer. The gates open at 10 am, but do not worry; you won’t miss the airshow because it does not begin until 12 pm. Not only do you get to see airshow, you can experience flying one of the ground. There are many aircrafts people of all ages will be able to tour, such as the TM Avenger, P-63, A-7D Corsair II, and many more. There are not only aircrafts, you can see Humvees, motorcycles, tanks, and 18-wheelers as well. With this wonderful attractions, if you come on Saturday, May 5, at 5pm you can see Jordan Davis so a live performance. In the sky, there will be many fantastic performances as
well, such as the US Navy Blue Angels, and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. If you are worried about cost, don’t! The airshow is free for everybody! There are many booths for the kids to enjoy, as well as booths for the parents as well. Woop woop! Is the common sound heard in Beecher Terrace (housing apartments). There are 2.3 million people locked up in the United States. Kentucky spends about fifteen billion dollars per year incarcerating individuals from Beecher Terrace. Since the 1970’s the number of people locked up in the United States has grown from 300,000 to 2.3 million. Kentucky has been the center of this prison expansion. Charles McDuffie, Christel, Demetria, and Keith Huff all have something in common. Each of these individuals are repeat offenders, grew up or lived in Beech Terrace, and have some type of mental issue.

The state-of-the-art roller coaster coming to Cedar Point will be Apollo 11. Ride the space craft as if you were there. Riders can sit in the single seat at the very front or, they can even sit on the landing pads of the rocket shaped roller coaster car that can sit 24 people per car. First, as the car leave the earth shaped entrance, slow to a stop with inertia jerking you forward right before it hits the launching sequence riders will hear a countdown 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 Liftoff. Then, it will launch at 100 mph and spiral up a 270 foot tall hill. Suddenly, at the peak of the hill the car will have the highest potential energy and reach the sun, however then, Houston We Have A Problem, riders will descend the hill and experience freefall
The dropping of the nuclear bombs in Japan by the United State in World War II created turbulence throughout the nations involved in the war. “In 1945, after the long struggle of World War II (1939-45) only two great powers remained in the world, the United States and the Soviet Union. Polar opposites culturally, economically, and politically, the two nations had been uneasy allies in the war against Nazism and Fascism. Once the war ended, however, a deep antagonism arose between them”, sparking a nuclear stand off between the worlds two largest super powers, know as the Cold War. This war was never fought directly by the two nations, only through Soviet weaponry vs American weaponry
The Chicago World Fair of 1893 was a very important event in American history and culture. The effects of the fair would last even till today. It influenced the American people to reevaluate their own cities. The fair also contributed to the pride of the American people not to mention those in Chicago. Daniel Burnham along with his partner John Root, whom later dies, is given the responsibility of constructing the Chicago World Fair. John Root is actually the architectural genius between the pair and dies before construction barely gets underway. Burnham is motivated by his pride and determination in order to actually get the job done.
In 1957 the Soviet Union sent a satellite into space, this made the United States want to surpass the Soviet Union. This competition between the Soviet Union and United States is what we know as the Space Race. Each country wanted to have the best technology and be the first to get a man in space. Humans were very skeptical of going into space, so instead they sent animals into space to test if it was safe for humans. The monkeys weren’t forgotten, even after the first humans reached space in 1961.

People are still arguing if the moon landing in 1969 was real or faked by the United States Of America. Some people think it was faked and if they are true this would be very embarrassing to America and NASA. Some think it was real because of some of the evidence they brought back supposedly from the moon's surface but this is my opinion.
