I watched the new movie from Marvel, “Black Panther” last week. I have not watched all of movies from Marvel, but I always enjoyed when I was watching any of them. When I first time saw the movie poster of Black panther, I was kind of shocked because all of the characters are African American, including main hero. This poster brought me curiosity and interest and this curiosity helped me to concentrate on this movie. Moreover, I did not watch “Captain America-Civil war”, so it is my first time to see this superhero. I think this is why the Black Panther is more fresh and new to me.
I enjoyed this film because “Black Panther” has only their own color and their own story. Since I am a person who is a not really big fan of Marvel, I have not

However, I did not feel I needed to be familiar with those other films to enjoy Black Panther because it is new hero from Marvel and does not have that much of relationship with other superheroes like “Avengers” or “Justice League”. I also did not watch all films and series, but I could enjoy this movie. This film is being lauded as groundbreaking for representation in mainstream cinema and I think it deserves that credit because again, this is the first black superhero. Through Black Panther, we can see their unique tradition and custom. It is so meaningful, especially for African American. Moreover, unlikely the major background is the kingdom Wakanda and from this, we can see their loyalty and their close relationship as a family and …show more content…
Firstly, both Iron Man and Black Panther have a special suit. Both suits made with vibranium but for Iron Man, it has an artificial intelligence. Secondly, both heroes are rich and has enormous property and wealth. Black Panther is by vibranium and Iron Man is by Stark Industry. Thirdly, they both have smart character. In Iron Man, Tony Stark is very smart and intelligent. In Black Panther, Shuri has a role of scientist, designer of suit and engineer. She has similar characteristic with Iron Man regarding of
This film represents our indigenous culture and regardless of what happens we can find good in a situation. Together the black and white community can come together and achieve more than they could ever do by themselves.
In fact, we could even say that the film is liberating because young black men are able to see themselves in a new reimagining of black masculinity in opposition to the stereotypes of whites and blacks alike.
I am not a big fan of black and white movies. They don’t interest me, especially because they are mysterious and dark most of the time. At the beginning I did not take much interest in it because I was confused of what was happening and why it was happening. After reviewing it with the class the beginning made sense, so the second time I was more focused on the movie than the first time where I was just in blank about it.
The director main point of the movie is to show that racism shouldn’t exist. His other main point that I got out of it was him showing how whites and blacks became one, they all became a family at the end of the movie. Although the whites feared they would lose their starting position to the blacks and the blacks feared they wouldn’t get any playing time because of their skin color they were still able to get through it all and were all able to put their pride aside and become one and by them coming together and looking past all the criticism they got something great out of it, a state
Making the suit is much easier than fighting Mandarin. Iron Man gets more skill by wearing the suit and learning how to use the suit. Iron Man’s greatest fear is the bits of shrapnel in his chest. Iron Man’s Abyss is when his suit is taken over. Iron Man’s revelation is when he develops a serious dependency of alcohol. At the beginning of his journey in the suit he is a bit cocky as well. “You’re not a man, you’re nothing- more than a manic. I’m not afraid of you, no politics here, just good old fashion revenge” (tony stark, google). Iron Man is wiser because he realized that you should never give up. His imbalance is fixed by making the suit and saving his life and the people around him. “I had my- eyes opened. I came to realize that i had more to offer this world than just making thing blow up” (tony stark, google). His injustice is fixed by making the suit. Iron Man’s gift is he gets his suit.
In the film Iron Man, Stark is betrayed when the threshold guardian, Obadiah Stane takes the electromagnet of Stark and uses it for his own suit. Stark’s ally and assistant Pepper Potts find out about this and they inform S.H.I.E.L.D. Pepper Potts and S.H.I.E.L.D go to Obadiah Stane’s workplace where they find a big gigantic suit which Obadiah wears. This resurgence of evil comes in the form of Obadiah wearing a suit which is seemingly more powerful and bigger than Iron Man. Stark fits in his old electromagnets and sets off to defeat Obadiah. Iron Man and Obadiah have a duel in which an innocent family is almost killed. There is always a doubt of success in a Hero’s journey and Iron Man who has almost drained all of his power seems unfit to fight Obadiah. Iron Man manages to beat Obadiah and returns successful thus defeating his final test. He is swarmed by media who think that Stark is Iron Man. Stark deceives the idea of lying and reveals to the media that he is Iron Man this being the Atonement. Stark returns to his life and lives life with the world knowing he is Iron Man- his return with the elixir. The completion of the resurrection is an important feature of the Hero and his life. The hero completes the final test and returns with the elixir which Stark has both done by defeating Obadiah and confirming his status as Iron Man. This pattern in Stark’s life confirms his status as a true model
Everyone has a favorite superhero, it might be a hero who hides himself behind a mask and no one can see who he really is, or a hero in iron suit who saves the world from weapons that he created. Ironman and Batman have some similarities, both of them fight the villains to protect their people and their cities. They both don’t have superpowers and they use technologies and weapons to build their suits. Ironman and Batman also have many differences between them, Ironman is a hero while Batman is consider a dark hero since everyone in Gotham City was afraid of Batman.
I have always believed that all races have their good and bad. Their is never going to be the perfect race. This movie definitely set a powerful message that life is not perfect for any race and that even though people are from different cultures, they are all interconnected somehow. The filmmakers did a great job at showing us that individuals should not be based on first impressions such as skin color or the social status.
When I found this out I was surprised by this, it makes sense now. If the comics were made today and the movies were made later I would predict the movies and the comics would be much more diverse than they are today. The comics were so dominant with white people that the movies have even incorporated or added in some black characters here and there to make the movies not all white. Here is an example of this from the article titled “Fear of a Black Superhero: Michael B. Jordan and the Importance of Colorblind Casting” the article stated this: “The character of Nick Fury, the mysterious agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who has a hand in virtually every Marvel movie storyline, was portrayed as a white man for decades in the comic books; but a generation of movie fans know the character as portrayed by African American actor Samuel L. Jackson.” There have been more than this one case.
Moreover, it is a palatable film. It offers a few solid laughs and will provoke some smiles; it’s a fairly typical, unremarkable comedy. While the original film had the breaking of racial stereotypes in mind, this updated version has it more in mind to have fun with them for the sake of the comedy. It is a romantic comedy that touches upon race relations following a fairly well established story-line. I would say that the one redeeming value of the film is the message of "seeing people, not color."

The past couple of years have been a big hit with Hollywood producers creating movies on a topic that many people love: Superheroes. These heroes are revealed with all kinds of powers and traits, which are only available in the world of fiction. Nevertheless, underneath those masks, are different people. Tony Stark who we also know as Ironman is a unique type of hero. Even though he has saved countless number of lives and has stopped many crimes, his arrogance gets to the greatest of him and causes many problems. Stark ends up losing all rights to his company, lose the trust of many friends, and nearly lose his Ironman suit to the USM. Nonetheless, once he falls into these situations does he recognize that he needs to step up and take responsibility
After his parents dying, Batman, or Bruce Wayne, have promised himself to get rid of the evil in the city. He spent most of his childhood training his intellectual and physical abilities in order to defeat the villains. As a result, Batman is considered one of the most intelligent superheroes around. According to Caleb Hu, “[Bruce Wayne] is cited to have an IQ of 192 and is considered to be a polymath” (Quora). Due to the fact that he have started traveling when he was just a teenager, he have learned about many subjects, such as “physics, math, chemistry, engineering, etc.” (Quora). Because of the loss of his parents, he have become driven to continue and push his limits in order to learn more about the elements of the criminal mind. On the other hand, Iron Man has a different type of intelligence. Before Tony Stark’s parents died, he have been sent to MIT at the age of 15 to study the numerous scientific fields, such as physics, engineering, and computer science. After his parents have died, he have acquired the family business, which was the Stark’s Industries. His intelligence have outperformed most of the superheroes. In addition to his intelligence, “ Stark was once called the world’s most adept multi-tasker by Reed Richards, due to his ability to compartmentalize his mind into three separate yet independently operating sections” (CBR.com).
With his one of a kind armor suits, quirky characteristics and beyond extreme superpowers, Iron Man is by far one of the supreme Marvel superheroes. While most superheroes are commonly known for simply ‘saving the day’, Iron Man goes above and beyond. His sarcastic attitude and witty comments are hilarious and bring a sense of humor to viewers and fans, showcasing that he is so much more than your typical superhero. Iron Man is simply incomparable and his superiority and even more intelligent mind are just additional examples for his greatness. He is looked upon as a leader to others and has saved the planet more than enough times as proof of his hard work. Even without the suit, Tony proves to be a superhero with his worthy and kind intentions. Long live the legacy of an incredible man, and superhero!
