A party’s platform is its official statement of beliefs and values. These platforms established from the view of a party such as Republic Party and Democrat Party. They have their own platforms to create their views on an issue. However, if the Democrat Party has their notions, Republican Party is not inherently related based on their true definitions. There are some similarities and differences between Republican Party and Democrat Party. The similarity is duties and responsibility. Both two parties have the same election of officials to lead the government through majority vote. Moreover, both party platforms generally are not considered serious policy documents. Red is a symbol of Republican Party. According to Diffen website, red states are the strongest in the South and West, and weakest in the Northeast and the Pacific Coast. Moreover, the philosophy of Republican Party is conservative and right-leaning. They tend to a favor a limited role for government in society, and they against regulations and bureaucracy. Its platform involves support for free market capitalism, fiscal conservatism, and restrictions on labor unions. However, the Democrat Party’s symbol is blue. Due to Diffen website, one dominant in the Southeastern United States, is now strongest in the Northeast, and Democratic candidates have been faring better in some southern states. Also, Democrats are liberal and left-leaning. They tend to favor an active role for government in society. The party has united with smaller liberal regional parties throughout the country, such as the Farmer-Labor Party in Minnesota. The education in the United States is the second difference between Republic Party and Democrat Party. On Republic Party’s platform, republicans fight for school choice. They would like to have several school systems, such as home-schooling, private or parochial schools. Moreover, they encourage teaching the Bible as an elective in public schools.
