facilities available to young people in different parts of Wales. The
intention of this report is to give the WAG details, information and
also recommendations to improve the Leisure Facilities on offer in the

Main Findings
=============
Sport and Leisure
It was felt unanimously by the school council that there is a definite
lack of sports facilities in the Pontypridd and surrounding areas. By
the lack of sports opportunities, young people are not encouraged to
take regular exercise. With the rising obesity levels in young people,
reported on by both the U.K. Government and WAG, this will surely have
an impact on their future health.
In the town of Pontypridd, including the areas of Maesycoed,
Hopkinstown, Glyncoch and Cilfynydd there are no leisure centres. The
closest being Hawthorn (approximately three miles from Pontypridd
centre) Abercynon (approx six miles from Pontypridd) and ...

The creation of the computer and the Internet has significantly furthered and revolutionized Parks and Recreation Districts across the country. Parks and Recreation Management is a profession that has been able to prosper with the Internet and personal computers today. Recreation in the present day is becoming especially popular due to a general decrease in working hours because of the economy. With many people having more free time, more demands are put on the Parks and Recreation districts. Also with the many national, state, and private parks in the United States, it is crucial for the park systems to have a systematic approach to dealing with these new demands. The computer and Internet has become the answer to this problem.

activities of the past need to come to an end. He believes that these seven childhood pastimes should be placed into the Hall of Shame. He explains how these activities fail to promote the current physical educational goals set for today’s school children. He admits that the activities that are built into our curriculum should include elements of fun, but should always encourage and healthy lifestyle and never pose potential harm to the students.
Fewer and fewer children are playing outside regularly, choosing instead to be inside on the computer, in front of the television, and playing video games. Many children do not get enough physical activity in their daily routine. Many schools physical education programs cut back on the time actually spent doing vigorous activities. "One study showed that gym classes offered third-graders just twenty-five minutes of vigorous activity each week" ("Overweight and obesity,"2009). Guidelines show that children over two years old should at least get sixty minutes of vigorous activity a day ("Overweight and obesity,"2009). The average family is busier today than ever, which causes parents to rush meals and not take the time to plan nutritious hom...
As mentioned previously in the introduction, obesity is the state of being overweight due to lack of physical exercise, this is a major sport related issue because it is something that is getting worse. In order to back up how bad obesity is actually getting in the UK, a quote from the guardian states “67% of men and 57% of women in the UK are overweight or obese according to the study which uses a Body Mass Index”, (Guardian, 2014). It is not just women and who are the growing problem in the UK, a big chunk of the UK obesity is also children and adolescents. Another quote from the Guardian 2014 which supports this statement about children and adolescents becoming more obese quotes...
Tom, father to Julie and Jack, found the Albion Theme Park Ltd. in 1980s. The business grew significantly since then. However, the growth has led to cropping-up of challenges in running the business ranging from managerial, operational, human resource, and forgetting competition. In order to address these challenges, the company hired a management consultant to compile a report, advising the company on how to develop a strategic plan for development of the company. The management consultant was supposed to address external analysis, internal analysis and to propose strategies and their implementation for the better meant of the company.
American children many of whom is -> are overweight, are often forced by their parents to exercise. This may seem like a good idea, but it can cause some trouble later on. For example, children, who do not enjoy team sports, should not be pushed to do them because their aversion may later translate to a total refusal to exercise. A number of non-competitive sports is better suited for such children. Dancing, hiking, jogging and kayaking burns calories just as well, and may prove to be more relaxing to a non-competitive child. If either a friend or some family members also participates in the sport, most of the children likes that kind of activity. A lot of children loves being outdoors, if the family are there as well. Everyone think that
In today’s society, too many children spend excessive time indoors watching television and playing video games. Children are becoming couch potatoes more and more each day. Childhood is the worst time to develop unhealthy habits. This type of behavior is the basis for an unhealthy, inactive lifestyle. Young kids need to get outside in the fresh air and stay active. In this day and age, there is no excuse for obesity in children. Although certain medical disorders can cause obesity, less than 1 percent of all obesity is caused by physical problems (obesity 1). Obesity in childhood and adolescence can be related primarily to lack of exercise and laziness. The parents of these young ones should be intelligent and responsible enough to see the positive effects of physical activity and sports. Athletics often gets children active and physically fit without them even knowing it. They are too busy having fun and competing to realize they are exercising.
Opposition of mandatory Physical Education in high schools believe that if a student has not developed a desire for voluntary physical exercise by the time he or she reaches high school , he or she may not ever (Eberhardt). It is true that individuals should not be forced into something they don’t want to participate in, but if these students don’t get any exercise outside of school, where will they receive an appropriate amount of fitness? Paul Eberhardt, athletic director, intramural director and head coach of the McNair Marlins basketball team in Richmond, B.C., believes “that students don’t care about participating in P.E. anymore and we have to educate students on the benefits of Physical Education”. In the 1994-1995 school year there were 1,133 students enrolled at McNair High School but there were only four P.E. classes available, which meant approximately 120 students attended in these classes. The remaining 1013 grade eleven and twelve students had no Physical Education at all. This is an astonishing figure. “Many students participate in sports and recreation activities outside of school, but most of them get hardly any exercise at all.
Over the past decades our culture has changes dramatically. To which our nation was once a physically active nation. Yet now it seems that society discourages physical activity. The human race has been dependent on automobiles, discouraging people to walk or bike, increasing the chance of a poor life-style. Yet there are many factors that affect the achievement and maintenance of a healthy life. Young people are growing into a diverse society, which is characterized by rapid change, inactive work and leisure practices that influence unhealthy behaviors. By incorporating physical activity into peoples daily routine will increase their chances of being healthier, reducing certain diseases and learning how to avoid injuries. Physical education helps students improve their knowledge about health issues and practices that will lead to a more enjoyable life. Students playing and working in a team together develop social skills, teamwork, achieving goals, and development of self-esteem. Overall physical education provides the potential for a better life style.
