Religion as a Form of Expression in the Millennial Generation Throughout the world today, hundreds of different religions exist, and though many have very different beliefs, the similarities between them are almost convincing of a first religion among primitive mankind. But throughout the centuries, different systems and people have evolved, often causing more tension than any other cause. Religions of past and present have often been the source of meaning in people's lives. People in the past have more or less adhered to strict religious doctrines, and lived according to them. But people today face different situations and lifestyles. Times have changed as the human race has changed. Are people still searching? The question still remains: Does God exist, and who is He? Who Needs God? Since the beginning of humankind, there has been a need for God, a longing for significance in the world, a desire for meaning. In a world full of injustices, where every day one must face hardships and carry burdens, must worry and fear; there has been a desperate search for peace, hope, and the promise that life is worthwhile. The need for something greater to exist has been a part of man since his creation, and is still present now. This is evident throughout the entire world. All people everywhere, those living and those already dead, have at some time felt the overwhelming feeling that there is something else out there. For some, that may just have been a passing curiosity, a question wondered in the grogginess before sleep. But for others, it has formed their lives, world, and being. Is there life out there in the great beyond? It is a question that many of us have asked, but there is no real answer, no tangible evidence to validate the existence of other intelligent beings. All we have are so-called experiences that earthly people have had with these beings, like me. I remember, as a child, I stayed awake late one night. I was lying in bed admiring the stars outside my window when I saw a bright light in the distance. It moved in impossible ways I could not explain, even to this day. It was only for a moment, but the memory of this unexplainable phenomena has stayed with me ever since. If there are other intelligent beings like us living in distant worlds, how do we explain their standing in religious history? Are they gods or angels? Are they our creators? In decades past, people who claim to have had ufological experiences have banded together to create religious societies in their quest to become closer to extraterrestrial life. While all of these societies support different views on UFOs and religion, all have one common belief – there is life out there and they are real and powerful beings far more advanced than humans in technology and psychic abilities. Throughout this research paper, I will establish how some of these religious societies were formed, and describe in detail how their belief system works and why they are considered religious in nature.

Homeschooling also gives the teacher a thorough evaluation of a student’s strengths and weaknesses by visually seeing what subjects they excel in and what subjects they are weak in. At this point students can increase their individual progression in each subject. Homeschooling permits control of the environment a student learns in to retain the focus of the student. This will reduce the chances of drug usage, bullying, and violence. Samuel Blumenfeld said this on the importance of homeschooling “The home is a safe haven for the children in a world awash with drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, violence, and moral corruption” (Cindy Mur et al.76). In my family, we see religion as our own personal decision; different to each individual. All the children in the Meyer family have been encouraged to explore religions and find what fit us best. As a child I was looking for a religion that I could relate to. I wanted to get in touch with nature and myself. I explored many different religions but I found no connection to them. My grandmother, a few cousins, and an aunt practice Wicca, and when I was nine I took immediate interest. I quickly felt like I belonged somewhere and had a purpose. My nana took me under her wing and I studied and practiced under her supervision. My nana is a High Priestess, an equivalent to a Pastor or Priest, and was therefore qualified to instruct me in Wicca. Over the course of my adolescence I have learned a great deal about Wicca, and I devoutly practice Wicca each and every day. There are multitudes of non-believers and some extremists that aim to harm Wiccans, but Wicca is not violent, or evil. Wicca is a beautiful, enthralling religion that is self- and nature-based and focuses on the journey of life through knowledge, wisdom, and exploration.
As far as mankind’s history can date, religion has had quite an intimate relationship with people. Although maybe it hasn’t always been identified in the same way as we identify religion today, spread across the world we have the remains of pyramids, temples, and even written in ancient texts from centuries ago dedicated to god, to the afterlife, to what lies on the other side. God can be defined as a being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions (1). There are many people that do not believe in any religion. People who do not believe in a religion have no reason for believing in a God. People who do not believe in a God and argue against the existence of God are proving something that is completely false. There is a God for numerous reasons.
The first one is that actions that are moral are not differentiated from those that are not by the absence of a cause, but by a cause that is totally different. He argued that freedom and moral responsibility are reconcilable with determinism. The second proposition is that liberty where he retaliated that there is a distinction between necessity and of liberty and that our own will leads to free actions while external forces cause things that we experience against our will. On his part, liberty is freedom to act without influence and that a difference exists between free and unfree actions (Paul). According to him, free actions are caused by personal will while unfree actions are caused by external forces. He reasons that ideas of necessity and causation are more influenced by our experience and the resulting inferences we make. According to Hume, there are two classifications of liberty including spontaneity and indifference. The third proposition is that necessity defined as the constant concurrence of objects and inference of mind among the objects. He says that the debate on free will has to include the idea of necessity and that if two actions happen at the same time, then there is a relationship between the two occurrences. In this sense, he says that freedom requires a necessary link between an individual’s character and actions. Further, he says that human choice and action is concurrent and is regular and uniform. Homeschooling is an educational option that permits parents to teach their children at home rather than sending them to public schools. It is believed that "homeschooled children now number 1.2 million in the United States and the number is steadily growing" (Farris, 1997, p. 4). Ray (cited in Mirochinck & McIntyre, 1991). Some Parents believe that sending their children to public schools in which qualified teachers are responsible for educating them is beneficial .However, other parents believe that it is better for their children to be educated at home by people who know their needs.
