In the book “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald it shows the many different kind of relationships. There are some wrong relationships such as affairs, and some successful relationships. One example would be Tom Buchanan who is a wealthy man. He’s powerful and comes from a socially solid family. He is arrogant and a hypocrite. He has no morals and expects everyone around him to have morals. He is man whose social attitude is linked with racism and attitude. His relationship with Daisy is one of marriage, he is married to her for class and doesn’t love her and his mistress is Myrtle Wilson she is Tom’s lover and he controls her. His relationship with both women is different. Daisy has charm, wealth, aristocracy and grace. She is not loyal she fell in love with Gatsby but married Tom for a better life. She’s in love with money and a luxurious life. Tom is the one who fulfills her needs of giving a luxury life.
