The poem that I chose was Refusal by Maya Angelou. This poem reminds me of “ The Space Between Us”. In this movie this boy meets a girl but he can’t be with her because they live in two different world. He is really in love with her and he is exactly what she needs because she doesn't have a a family and she is living with a foster dad and he treats her really bad. Then one day he came to earth risking everything just to see her because he loved her so much. This poem is really sweet for example line 7 says that they adores everything about them. Just like the movie he loves her so much but they can’t be together because they are from two different world literally. But he comes down to earth just to see her and he risks
his own life just because he loves her so much. And no matter what he will always love her even if they are two worlds apart. I think that in every relationship they can relate to the poem Refusal because for a relationship to work they both have to be in love with each other. He went through everything just to see her. When they finally met he fell in love with her even more because she was the greatest thing to him. And at one point he asked her what her favorite thing was about earth and she said she didn’t know and he said that his favorite thing was her. So like in the poem they are in love so much and they refuse to be apart and they will do anything and everything to be together just like they did in the movie. My favorite thing about the movie and poem was that they loved each other so much it did not matter what happen they would still be in love.
that they can spend more time together because she missed him when he was at work and he missed her when he was away from home.
though Tea Cake asks for her opinion when he does something and cares about her.
same time imposes his will on her. He hinders her from having her own thoughts.
A gap of several years passes before they see each other again. They see each other at the airport, but they both pretend not to know the other.
“On the Pulse of Morning” by Maya Angelou. "On the Pulse of Morning," is a poem written by Maya Angelou. In this poem, Angelou depicts personification. Personification is an element of literature in which an object or animal is given human characteristics. Angelou uses personification to give the rock, the river, and the tree the ability to speak to the reader. In "On the Pulse of Morning", Angelou writes, "But today, the rock cries out to us, clearly, forcefully, Come, you may stand upon my back and face your distant destiny, but seek no haven in my shadow.
From the beginning of the novel, we see how separation and distance affect the emotional aspects

In the last part , the story got twisted where they both exchange their thoughts to leave the gang and plan to go on lake with their chicks in one boat. They became friend. This change in both characters comes only before the “last spin”. It seems they don't have any personal problems with each-other it was an out come of what they were settled for their gangs..
...at people think and what happens to herself. In the end of the whole novel, both characters make the right and conscious decision to live their lives as they have before they met each other.
one minute he is madly in love with her and then next he hates her.
... truly in love, they would be inseparable and would not have left without exchanging information. The ending scene of them going their separate ways showed that what was experienced between them was romance, attraction, and lust—a one day stand—but not love. Love is just not as easy to walk away from, which is what they did in the end.
did not get along well at all during the first half of the movie. But
Love is a word that’s been both miss-used and over-used all at once. Romantic movies change our definition of and have a big impact on this definition greatly. There have been many movies and novels made over love, but never like this. “The Notebook” is a love story about unconditional love that two people have for each other.
