After completing this project, I have learned to make my introduction, draw the reader’s attention and also, make a good argument between what I agreed or disagreed with. Doing research and using actual facts on my topic improved the style of the paper. It improved my style by making the reader notice everything I came up with that has evidence behind it, which makes my paper look very pleasant. In addition, seeing the way people observed the situation from a different viewpoint helped me understand where the authors were coming from on the topic.
On the other hand, as I started my research paper I decided to choose a topic where I felt more confident and where I could also relate to. For my thesis, it took me time to create one because I
wanted it to run smoothly in the paper I was going to write. Also, I choose the authors whose article were at least decent for the argument that was going to be made. So, I can see things from a different perspective when making an argument. I wanted the paper to make sense and not look disorganized as my opinions were about to be a part of the argument in the essay. This project helps me to improve on my skills such as sourcing citations, organizing, repetition of words, and when to place adverbs at. In earlier papers, I would always repeat adverbs in the paper because I would never look for a different word. Also, when it came to fragments sentence I would lack things in a sentence. I now understand how to form a better argument when writing a research paper. The author helps you in the process of reading their article and see a different perspective. This will help me become a good writer next time I am doing a research paper.
I found that writing this paper was really hard for me. I am not good at analyzing
The purpose of your research project and in what way will it contribute to the academic understanding of your subject matter.
Sometimes people write their thesis statement before they have done any research and sometimes afterwards. If you're not yet used to writing a thesis statement, it's better to do your research and show that you have, read, and understood the most important literature relating to your
I realize this is not true. This is the process that goes on in my mind when I first meet people. I think, for the audience I had, the main idea needed to be more concrete. As I went on in this class the kind of topics I chose got more & more concrete & audience consideration grew stronger in forming my papers.
Your paper could have been stronger if you had used quotes to back up your ideas.
Writing can be very frustrating; laying your ideas out on paper so that others can grasp the concept you are trying to convey is a very difficult task. In Writing 101 I have learned how to formulate good theses that are arguable and also how to validate articles that have to do with my topic. The most important element of a paper is the thesis statement. It captures the reader's attention and tells them what the essay is about. Having a well-structured thesis along with evidence to support that thesis are the main ingredients to a well-written essay. I have also learned how important it is to research an author’s background to ensure their credibility. This is a very important step in writing because today we can find information on a topic, however, it is not valid. By researching the author, we can see if he or she is an expert in the area and so this would make his or her information more credible. There is a ...

For the research paper, the topic I chose was breast cancer. I spoke about why I chose to do research on breast cancer, because my aunt battled with breast cancer a few years ago and died. The research I conducted was to inform my readers about breast cancer. My research paper contained what is breast cancer that was introduce in my first paragraph. In my paper, there were examples of symptoms such as, pulling in of the nipple and the discharge coming out of the nipple, statistics in men and women, causes of breast cancer, treatments of breast cancer, and ways to reduce risk of breast cancer.
This was the first organized research paper I had ever made. I learnt to accumulate and organize research data into useful information. This improved my skills to manage textual resources. Besides all this, I was able to study about something that I was really interested in. This experience has shown me the way to research on topics I want to know more about. I think now I can truly say, “Everything happens for a reason.”
Research writing requires two special kinds of focusing. The first is identifying the descriptors or key words that will guide your search through the library resources. You will want to spend some time brain-storming possible key words, or subject headings, under which you might find articles and books about your topic. The more precise your de-scriptors, the more likely you will be able to find useful articles. Finding key words or descriptors can be a creative process and it is a vital process to successful research. The second essential focusing activity is to formulate a question or cluster of related questions that will guide your search for information and ideas. Putting your topic into question form can help you locate sources and evaluate them quickly for suit-ability for your paper.

As an individual I formulated ideas and wrote my paper to best describe my incident to my audience. Collaboratively, my classmate’s reactions to my presentation helped me to really see if they were interested in what I was talking about. It really helped me and gave my confidence in my paper.
This project has prepared me for continued success in graduate school, because it was the first time I was responsible for all parts of the research task (i.e., collecting data, analyzing data, and writing the journal
When conducting research on something, how does one communicate their findings? One way that person can report these details is by writing an essay. There are several different types of essays, but one in particular is a research paper. This is a formal way of organizing and reporting the information gained from the research that was done. Research papers are helpful because they can be organized to clearly document and share the information that is gained. This essay will share my experience with writing essays, views on what research is, and what I believe a research paper is.
During this semester in LLD class, I have learned some writing skills and reading skills from the textbook “College Writing Skills,” and written three essays which helped me improve my reading and writing skills. Grammar is the rule of word and sentence, which means that put the right word into the appropriate position to make it become a complete sentence. In addition, this book tells us that the most important problem is to avoid having grammatical errors in the essay, that will make reader misunderstand the sentence 's meaning. The prompt titles of my three essays are “Today, Courtesy Isn’t Common, But Hatred Is” by T. T. Nhu, “In Defense of Materialism During This Busy Holiday Season” by Jay Ambrose, and “When All You’re Ever Wanted Wasn’t Enough” by Harold Kushner.
