For this goal to be achieved, mutual cooperation and cohesive behaviour is important. Whatever the leader does, affects its followers. Issues can occur when becoming a leader. These issues can be external, internal and from the challenges of leadership itself. External challenges can mean lack of funding, opposition from community, interpersonal problems or competition from other organizations. Internal challenges can happen based on our emotions such as fear, lack of confidence and insecurity within the organization. Challenges that arise from leadership itself are simply based on the responsibilities that are carried by the leaders. With too much responsibility, one can become burdened and pressured which can lead to issues within the organization.

In mid 2013, the company I work at had to go through bidding with other competing student cares requested by the school we were based on. This occurred as Pro-Teach was under a 2-year contract and we had to bid again to keep our spot in the school. The bid was also because the school had little satisfaction with the programs we provided. Also, if the school board knows that parents are more familiar with the current student care, the school would reconsider and keep Pro-Teach on the priority list.
