Abstract
The purpose of this reflective essay is to review mind-set, knowledge and skills of budding entrepreneurs. We were requested to take a General measure enterprising tendency V2 test and a free online creativity test (Aulive test) in order to evaluate our entrepreneurial skills. Venture development can be defined as a new model that is used in the creation and cultivation of scalable ventures (Brinckerhoff, 2000). It normally describes the economic development activity using best practices and activities of experienced business mentoring and venture capital investing so as to create angle-capital-ready firms which will create economic wealth for the specific region. Entrepreneurship on the other hand can be defined in many ways. It is

My overall GET2 results score was 69% suggesting that I was likely to have strengths in some of the enterprising characteristics and may be enterprising in some contexts. This means that at this particular time I’m unlikely to set up an innovative growth-orient global business but may be in a position to express my enterprise either within employment as an intrapreneur or during my leisure time through activities such as voluntary community projects. It was also observed that my need for achievement is high meaning that I have the qualities outlined below:
• An orientation towards the future;
• Reliance on my own ability;
• An optimistic rather than a pessimistic outlook;
• A strong task

From the response I received, it was clear that I needed to develop my self confidence and enterprising skills so as to make a success of my venture. I also need to exert greater control over the development of my ideas. I could strengthen my self confidence by developing specific business or project management skills in areas that I feel could be improved. Without self confidence, I may over-rely on others, such as partners or clients, and this could bring a greater business risk (Brinckerhoff, 2000).
Creativity Score
My creativity score was 74.03 compare to the typical 63.57. This was an outstanding performance which incorporated 8 components all of which I fared very well. These metrics used included:
Abstraction: This is the ability to abstract concepts from ideas.
Connection: The ability to make connections between things that do not initially have an apparent connection.
Perspective: This is the ability to shift ones perspective on a situation in terms of space and time, and other people.
Curiosity: The desire to change or improve things that everyone else accepts as norm.
Boldness: The confidence to push boundaries beyond accepted conventions. Also, the ability to eliminate fears of what others think of you.
Paradox: The ability to simultaneously accept and work with statements that are

Of course, the term "creativity" is almost inherently ambiguous. What do I hope to achieve, or more specifically, what do I feel that I lack because of this supposed lack of personal creativity? When I think of creative minds, I imagine Pablo Picasso or Thomas Edison and the contributions they have made to society or the impact on our emotions. But fame or critical acclaim a...
Boldness lives within everyone, yet it is up to each individual to harness this power. Some choose to use it while others do not. Boldness is the ability of not hesitating to break the rules of propriety. Forbes Magazine says, "These are times that call for bold, confident, courageous, leadership." Where do we better see these qualities than in character Beowulf, in the land of Herot; or in the house of Paul, when teaching about God and Jesus was frowned upon. Today it is up to the average individual to show boldness in the face of terror.
A connection allows you to see beyond what physical characteristics will show. It allows you to see deep within someone, and you feel a certain feeling, an indescribable feeling that is somewhat beautiful, yet somewhat unexplainable. In this article “The Dark Priest of Taos” the protagonist, whom we do not know much about, experiences a deep connection to an odd creature. Upon its finding, the main character works to help it, and save this creature that seems to have washed up on the shore. Throughout the course of the excerpt, you find that they often think back to this creature, the octopus, and often thinks back to the occurrence itself; this demonstrating that the connection made between the character and the octopus was deep and unexplainably

It is true that most entrepreneurs typically have a flair for the creative and a lot of energy. They are born with it. But having these characteris...
The success of a business is greatly dependent on its entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is someone who takes the financial risk of starting and managing a new business venture. In order to be a successful entrepreneur, one must be ready to take a risk and invest one’s own savings into a business. The job requires that the individual be ambitious and committed to working hard in order to achieve the set targets. A successful entrepreneur is able to multi-task and communicates effectively with people, possessing leadership qualities such as confidence and motivation. The individual must play the role of constant motivator and inspire employees to improve their work performance, whilst ensuring a comfortable environment for the employees to work in. According to Schumpeter (1982), an entrepreneur is more of a ‘heroic’ than an ‘economic’ figure; his motivation should not solely be monetary, rather stemming more from inspiration and ambition.
According to Deakins and Freel (1998), the literature on entrepreneurship process has attempted to dichotomies into two approaches, which is from the nature of entrepreneurs and their role in econo...

1. WHY? Develop your "why". As an entrepreneur, not all times you have in business will be perfect. In fact, there will be many, many difficulties along the way. However, if you can develop your why, you can achieve success. Your why must be this personal, passionate, emotional drive that keeps you going, when the world tells you to give up. It is the reason you commit and work so hard. Pushing on when it seems all the odds and world is against you. Your "why" becomes your driving will to wake up and do it again tomorrow.
Many people dream of becoming entrepreneurs someday. But it made me realize that there other factors that needs to be taken into consideration. We need to ask ourselves are we ready to take the challenge to the outside world. Not everyone have the vision, innovation and creativity to become an entrepreneur. The individual must have a positive attitude and accept the responsibility, have discipline to meet their goals, and take action when the opportunity presents itself. Many prefer a job security and rely on a weekly paycheck, while entrepreneurs will take risks and doesn 't have that luxury to know the amount of their income.
Entrepreneurship is an important aspect of social, economic and community life. It can be viewed as a critical factor to economic growth as well as a way of addressing unemployment (Nolan, 2003).Entrepreneurs are people who are persistently focused on identifying opportunities, they seek to create something worthwhile while taking into account foreseeable risk and rewards associated with the efforts (Nolan, 2003). Furthermore, entrepreneurs are frequently understood to be individuals who discover market needs and establish new business to meet those identified opportunities. The following assignment will firstly discuss the types of entrepreneurship, secondly it will discuss the reasons people become entrepreneurs, and thirdly it will discuss the importance of entrepreneurship.
We learned a lot of things in this course, but I think the most important lesson I learned is that it’s not easy to be an entrepreneur. I was surprised to hear in the first class that 80% of startups fail, but after reading The Art of Start and E-myth Revisited I understood why this happens more often than one might expects. Some people start their own businesses for the wrong reason and some start with wrong mindset. I’ve always thought that if someone has a brilliant business idea and hardworking they will succeed and grow their business. However, now I know that there are many things to consider before starting any business. In fact, there are many strategies that an entrepreneur could follow to achieve success, such as know your customers, work “on” the business, and how
I am gratified to reflect on my Entrepreneurial Potential Self-Assessment. I have always enjoyed learning the concepts of running and managing a business. Personally, what I enjoy generally is implying these concepts in real life situations. Seeing the ‘real life’ effects are stimulating to me. I always saw myself running a stable/well- establish business; however, I never saw myself running my own business. For my part, I find that I do not have all the characteristics an entrepreneur should have. Therefore, the results are not surprising, but assuring of what my strengths and weaknesses are.
