Reflection On My Writing Skills

Prior to taking this class, my writing skills were poor and I struggled in various areas of writing. Being that this class required writing papers, I was greatly concerned with writing perfectly, but I was also excited to learn how to write better and improve my skills. Looking back, however, I have realized how taking this course along with receiving the feedback and advice from both my classmates and tutors has helped me improve as a writer while also increasing the confidence in myself to complete and accomplish future tasks.
Taking this course has helped me (as far as grammar is concerned) become better in my writing skills.
The feedback and advice received from my classmates and the tutors also helped me see the errors in my writing and correct them. One of my favorite things about this course were the peer review assignments because they helped me see the problems in my writing that I would not have seen had a new pair of eyes had viewed my work. The reverse side of that also helped in viewing my classmate’s work helped me to see some of the common mistakes I make in my own writing. The journals also helped a lot from reading the story and seeing it from different perspectives as everyone told it in their own words. I would especially like to thank you, Professor Belz for your instruction and guidance throughout this course. Not only has this class helped me in just composition, but it has given me the confidence to work harder in my future courses. The first time we ever do something, it can seem scary and impossible, but as we move forward day by day, our confidence grows as we discover how to do things better. Now that this course is over, I know that I am one step closer to my ultimate goal and that this will give me the courage to keep going even when I feel like quitting and giving
