Through out this course I have learned to understand why there is a need to educate my peers. Taking part in this can help increase awareness and knowledge about various health topics that relate to fellow students around me. The Health Fair helped me take part in advocating better health. From the taking part in the Health Fair I learned many things about how to educate my peers by breaking down barriers that I once had. Contraceptive use was the topic my group members and I got to talk about during the Health Fair. Before the day of the event I started to worry about saying the right things, as well as the topic of contraceptive making for an awkward conversation. These thought actually flew my mind as soon as the event began. To start
When legally introduced to society in 1960, the Pill stirred up a long period of controversy. The availability of the Pill had great impact on women’s health, social life, laws, religion, family, relationships, morality and sexuality. Initially conceived to be highly effective and safe, the Pill left many women with side effects – few which led to several fatalities. Before the Pill was created, many women postponed sex due to the social norm and fear of becoming pregnant before marriage. Families grew large and it was typical for a woman to have multiple children caused by the lack of birth control. Due to regulations, such as the Comstock laws, many people supported the prohibition of the Pill and other family planning practices. However, many women believed in the right to control their own body when it came to procreation. Despite the controversies, the Pill left lasting impacts, such as by opening society to the sexual revolution and...
First of I just want to take this time to congratulate you on meeting the requirement of the paper, it was an honor to read about your topic on Birth Control. From reading the paper I can honestly see the hard work you put into it. While reading your paper I notice the use of standard vocabulary words, I found this to be a great idea, in my view it help to persuade readers on the level of text they’re reading, but in other words the paper is not graded on how much vocabulary words you can come up with, I’m not saying using standard vocabulary is a horrible thing but instead focusing your paper on vocabulary words that might get your reader confused and have them searching the web for definition, I honestly advice since this is a argumentative
The topic of birth control in public schools has attracted much support from the American public from surveyed statistics. For example, a 2006 Associated Press-Ipsos survey discovered that 67% of Americans support the provision of contraceptives to students. This study also determined that, “About as many - 62 percent - said they believe providing birth control reduces the number of teenage pregnancies” (Associated Press). Such a huge percentage suggests that Americans are very concerned about the increasing cases of teen pregnancies and would eagerly adopt any method that has a possibility of reducing this problem. In addition, the subjects in the poll indicated that they believe that contraception usage in schools has the potential of reducing teenage pregnancies. Many American people support the view points, that schools should offer contraceptives to students in schools. This can really help minimize...

Lastly, to attain birth control, you should learn about it first. Some adults do not know how much priorities they will be faced with due to unsafe sexual intercourse. People who have the benefit of obtaining education regarding birth control are much more capable of deciding when they will start a family and how big it will be. Birth control is not only beneficial to those taking it and their relatives, but also the whole world, because it enhances the morality of society.
The things I have learned from this class are very informative. The Diet Analysis project has taught me a lot about my eating habits and has gotten me to change them in order to live a healthier lifestyle. Probably the biggest change I will make after completing this project is to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables will give me a lot of fiber in my diet. I will have to limit my fat intake, especially saturated fats from animals. I plan to pass the information I have learned in this course to friends and family to hopefully keep them aware that they should also watch what they eat.

Also, health promotion project evaluation will be provided.
Welcome to America: land of opportunity and most importantly, free. Well, unless you're a young, possibly teenage girl seeking birth control. We have people with extreme morals and religious beliefs making those decisions for you! Let us not forget the people saying sex education is tainting our youth's brains, yet wonder why they lack the basic knowledge on STDs. Remember, "Choice is an essence of personal freedom," (Brooks, ...About Life Control). Therefore leading to the point that birth control should be complimentary to all.
Health is an individual’s ability as well as communities to reach their potential. Health is not the absence of sickness, as measured by clinical presentations, but of a functioning sound body, soul and spirit. The World Health Organization defines health as an optimistic notion putting emphasis on social, personal means and physical capabilities (WHO, 1998). Health promotion practice has many phases that guide and ensure its effectiveness. It serves to prevent the development major health problems; this ideal also needs to be incorporated fused into nursing students’ learning curricula in order have a successful outcome. In addition, health promotion should also be included in the health program
With the help of Creative Process and Dr. Vandevender I learned about what civic engagement is and how people can be a part of it. I learned that civic engagement is much more than just volunteering for a cause. This course helped me understand that I can be civically engaged through a computer screen as well as in the real world. Prior to this class I had minimal knowledge about street theater. Thanks to this class I learned about various types of street theater and how street theater can be used to distribute a message. I came into this quest course knowing very little about how people understand and engage in community life. I can say with confidence that I know significantly more about civic engagement through this

In terms of Personal Development I feel that the course has helped me to develop the skills I need to improve my grades, and to build my confidence.
There was a significant amount of knowledge given in this course, involving concepts that in our teaching career will be extremely important. From this course I have gained a significant amount of learning experiences. I had the pleasure learning about how the educational system has come to be what it is today and who were the important people in the creation of the public education, like Horace Mann. Watching the videos and reading the chapters required has opened my eyes more of how a teacher should respond to different situations involving a student, For example when we read the chapter on the laws that revolve around the educators and the students. I had absolutely no clue that students had rights while in school property. Another learning
This course has helped me in many ways, especially time management, health, and money. Instead of having a very relaxing week and then panicking at the end of the week when everything is due, this course has helped me to plan out my studies. Planning them out helps me produce higher quality work and assists me with my stress problem. One thing that has helped a lot is getting short easy assignments or parts of assignments done in short periods of extra time I have. For example, instead of turning on that TV, wait ten minutes and knock out an assignment. Another asset for myself has been setting dates to have assignments done. Although these assignments may not be due on that day, getting them done and out of the way, makes more time for other
