“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning,” Brad Henry said. Students go to school in order for them to learn and then use that learning to create their own future. They can choose from every course they want to take, but the thing is, teachers are the ones who cultivate the seed in the hearts of every student. The teachers in PNTC Colleges Dasmariñas are caring, compassionate, and responsible enough to teach the students how to be a world-class seafarer in the future. Oct. 16, 2017, at exactly 1:30 pm marked the day when we celebrated the much awaited day for our beloved teachers. But of course, the teachers were unaware of the surprise that was waiting for them. Teachers’ Day is the day that we express our heartfelt gratitude to those people who sacrifice their time and effort just to teach and guide students in the right direction. Teachers enable the students to reach the stars that they want to reach. They teach them how to run, to climb, to swim, and all, to get to the place of glory. They teach them how to be bold, to be brave, and to be free. They teach them how to see, to learn, and to live the truth. Teachers and students, sometimes it’s hard to understand both sides, but they make memories together that will last forever. Happy Teachers
Thanks Miss Smith for making Science, History, Art, Drama, and Tech amazing classes. You are a wonderful teacher who makes learning fun, and I appreciate that. Furthermore, thank you Mr. Rague. Without your help, this speech would not have been written. You push every single one of your students to do their best since you know what all of us are capable of. Also, thank you Mr. Hall. I look forward to gym every Wednesday and Monday since you make it extremely amusing. Thank you to Mr. Block as well for helping me understand math better and for leading the 7/8th grade girls to winning the championship. Lastly, thank you Mrs. Rague. Before health class started, I did not know much about the heart, the food groups, the lungs, etc., but with your help I am basically a pro on all of the subjects. Thank
Each year, as a new group of students enter my classroom, I will encourage them to be expressive of their imaginations in their favorite subjects, whether it will be art, literature, math or music. We all have rules and regulations to follow, and each student will know that there is no exception in the school or the classroom. Another goal in my classroom will be to keep the students excited about learning, not to treat school as a game or a social event, but to encourage a unique and fun atmosphere to learn.
The town and the school reminded me immensely of my hometown and, I felt an immediate connection with the students from the community. Consequently, I recognized what it means to be a teacher throughout those five days when taught the students of the community. Immediately, on Monday we discovered that some of the lessons we had planned before the trip were not the best for the students, therefore, we needed to create modifications on the spot, I grasped that an outstanding teacher needs to be flexible and adapt in order to meet the needs of the students in the classroom. For that reason, we would modify our lessons as the day went since we would teach Kinder through 5th grade all on the same day, it was a daunting task, but in retrospect, I feel a considerable superior confidence with my abilities as an educator. I am eager for my residency to begin in order for me to put into practice the skills I acquired during this study abroad. Without a doubt, I have a different mindset as a beginning teacher due to this experience and I have gained a newfound attitude about what it means to be a

Good evening parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and friends. I would like to thank you all for coming to this very special day. I know how proud you must be. As we have grown over the years, there are many stages we all have gone through. From learning our shapes and colors, to getting our first kiss in middle school, or how about explaining to our parents why we skipped school because the principal called home. As we remember these days, things that we've done will be with us forever. But this is only the start of our journey. The day has come where we say goodbye to the big yellow buses, assemblies, assigned seating, and attendance policies. Are you really gonna miss it? For some of us maybe not right away. But eventually we will so for us to be here it is not necessarily an achievement, but a privilege. All of us have been in school over half our lives. To graduate is one more step we've taken in our lives.
When I look back to my young developing stages in life, I always ask myself where would I be today if it wasn’t for my teachers? Teachers are the ones who build our future generations. Preparing children and teens for higher education. Also playing a huge part in shaping children’s lives, enlightening them, and educating them about society and the world around them; the types of things that a parent doesn’t have time for, or just lacks the knowledge of. I think teachers are what help make this world go round.
Successful teachers develop the whole child by making integrated efforts to promote their student’s academic, social and emotional learning. Children need to be aware of themselves and others; make responsible decisions, and be ethical and respectful of the people around them.

For the past 13 years of our education we have been on a journey - a journey full of experiences, challenges and accomplishments. We have made it through elementary, middle and high school. It hasn't always been what we expected and certainly not easy, but as we progressed down the road, we stretched ourselves to reach across barriers and found ourselves in new and expanding roles. We were given the opportunity to explore our interests and discover what really excites us. We have become more independent and complete individuals. Our growth and self-discovery has placed us here tonight.
Along these two weeks we have been prompt to make a recall to our own way of learning and why we became a teacher: Was it because coincidence, due to life circumstances, maybe because family tradition, was it a conscious decision or because someone influenced us? Whatever the answer is, we have to face reality and be conscious that being a teacher does not only means to teach a lesson and asses students learning. It requires playing the different roles a teacher must perform whenever is needed and required by our learners, identify our pupils needs and preferences, respecting their integrity and individuality but influencing and motivating them to improve themselves and become independent.
There are many things which make a teacher great and they all can`t be defined. However i`ve always considered several of them essential. In my opinion a good teacher is someonewho first of all creates interest in studying, doesn`t underestimate the children, has equal expectations of siccess from everyone and last but not least likes his job.
It provides the fundamental and advanced knowledge needed to improve the well-being of a country. Education is critical to the development of a country’s youth, as the popular saying goes, children are the future. The education received from teachers can either leave a lasting impact or have little or no effect on understanding. The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation asserted that there is a need for “new paradigms, new practices and new people” (as cited in Holaday et al, 2007, 99). Professional development of teacher is required, as mentioned by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, “to build a culture supportive of a new generation of scholar citizens” (Holaday et al, 2007, p.99). Thus, it is imperative that the teachers’ in all institutions in a country receive the best possible training and resources needed to fulfil the responsibilities set before
What teacher doesn’t want to be able to say what I am now saying? That my job has been a joy and a pleasure…that I get up each morning knowing that I am fulfilling my destiny…that I teach because I love learning…that I am doing what I love to do, teaching children. If I can continue to pass my passion for learning, especially my love for reading, along to others and see them make progress, then I will know that I have won great victory in the fight to help others become proficient readers. What a reward!
Another important social contribution made by teachers to society is the aspect of leadership and guidance (Singh and Samiti). Teachers are perhaps, the best examples of guiders and leaders in a community. As such, teachers demonstrate to the society how a dynamic leader should behave and act (Collay 32). Apart from being...
