The Red Panda, also known as the Lesser Panda, are black, reddish, and white. They are 12 to 20 pounds depending on their gender. Their size is relative to a six foot man.
The Red Panda's diet consists mostly of bamboo. When the weather is warm enough, they eat insects and fruit. Red Panda’s can spend as much as 13 hours looking for and eating bamboo. Some predators of the Red Panda are the Snow Leopard, the Marten, and the bird of prey.
The Red Panda shares the Giant Panda’s high altitude habitat. Red Pandas live in the mountains of Nepal and Burma, as well as Central China. Red Pandas spend most of their lives in trees and sleep alot too!
