Recycling and Its Effects on the Environment

Nowadays, recycling has become popular topics because basically it impacts our environment in our life. Recently, the improvement system of recycling can solve human’s life environmental problems. There are three main points of how to manage waste or garbage such as reuse, reduce and recycle. According to my proposal before, the definition of recycling is a process of how we can manage our waste or garbage materials to change and become useful and new product materials. “Recycling is the process by which previously used objects and materials are converted into something else, rather than discarded” (Reno & Alexander, 2012, p.1). Moreover, recycling is a new modern solution to reduce amount number of wasted products that technically we could reuse those useless products or materials. Recycling also helps many people for manage these waste materials and create new valuable materials from those waste materials before. There are many specific reasons that make recycling system is valuable either than not enough spaces for waste or garbage in our place or we do not have an adequate system for recycling. Especially for recycling in Bali, it caused because of tourism in Bali. Bali is a tropical island in Indonesia with population more than three million people (Medina, 2009). Nevertheless, Bali government created “Bali Green and Clean” program which inspired by many visitors who come from other countries to encourage Bali government making this recycling programs (Indonesia Organic, 2010, pp. 1). Moreover, Bali government created a legal law for these programs.
