Because it seems like everyone has a hero they admire, everyone should have a chance to write about theirs. My mom didn't take me more than a minute to think of all the things to write about her. A hero to me is someone who is brave, humble, and someone who is willing to try something new. Since she has done almost anything for me, I will tell you all about why my mom is my hero. The first reason my mom is my hero is because she takes care of me. Whenever I feel unwell, she takes me to the doctor. Whenever I am sad or scared she finds a way to comfort me in any way she can. She goes out and finds good clothes for me to wear, for they are comfortable and are not scratchy. After I wear the clothes she finds for me, she washes, dries, and hangs up my clothes for me. My mom also cooks healthy meals, for she cares about my physical health. …show more content…
Since sometimes I struggle with homework, she helping me through all of my homework by telling me to think outside the box. In summary, the aspects of a hero are being adroit, caring, and tenacious. A modern mother and Odysseus both display these traits. Odysseus witnessed his men being killed by the Cyclopes when he was on his way home from Troy, but a mom would do anything to save her children. No matter who a person is, they’re still a hero because a hero is someone that never gives up. A hero doesn’t have to be strong or smart; they just have to be themselves. A hero can be anyone, like an average mom or a famous soldier. In life, every single person is hero; whether they saved a life or saved a soul.
In order for me to better explain what I believe to be a hero, I want to describe the hero in my life; my Father. My dad is an exceptional man, not only has he been in the United States Marine Corps for 24 years and counting, going on numerous tours overseas, he is a student pursuing his Master’s degree. He is a basketball or baseball coach depending on what sport my siblings and I are currently in to, he is a math or English
A hero is someone you look up to, someone who has done something to inspire you, someone who is your role model. In our society, there are many different types of heroes—family, friends, teachers, firefighters, and police officers to name a few. But a hero that stands out to me is a U.S. soldier. Soldiers risk their lives every day just so we can have our freedom.
When most girls write about their mothers they talk about how wonderful of a childhood they had being raised by such a great woman. They talk about her accomplishments and how they want to grow up and be just like her. They talk about the soup sick babble that every "perfect" family has to offer. When I write about my mother, I speak of the pain, the fears, the learning and the salvation. My Mother has been a great inspiration to me. She is my hero. Not because of the wonderful things she has done. Not because of the marvelous childhood I was given and certainly not because of her upbringing. My Mother is my hero because she was led down a path of destruction, but with God's grace and mercy she was pulled from her perils; and blessed.
So what exactly is a hero? Parents are true heroes. Most parental units sacrifice time, money, love and everything else for their children. When times are tough good parents do all they can to make things better for their children. Mothers and fathers often work two jobs, late at night, or on weekends to provide for their kids. My mom is always there for me when I am sick, telling me she wishes she were the sick one. She also reassures me that she always has an extra kidney if I happen to need one. I personally view my parents as true heroes for all they do, have done, and will do.
My mother is my hero because she has taught me to treat others with compassion, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She taught me that those values were important in the best way, by living her own life according to them. She didn’t just tell me about values she felt were important, she lived by them. I have always admired my mother and felt so blessed to have her in my life. I know I am a better person for having her for a mother.
When one thinks of heroes, names such as Ghandi, Martin Luther King, and Mother Theresa often come to mind. These people had done a lot of favors, courage, helps, and more of things for the people who needed them. They have change the world. But, heroes can be in anyway, even in each of individuals in the world. I have the persons who I think is the best hero in my mind. They are my parents.
When I needed to talk, she listened. When I was ill, she healed me. When I was hungry, she fed me. This frail woman whom I call my mom was a superwoman while I was growing up. With wisdom, she guided; with tenderness, she spoke; and with love, she raised me. Although we were very poor, my mother made it a point always to give me a present on my birthday.
When asked who their hero is, most people respond with the name of an athlete or an actress/actor. When asked who my hero is I would have to respond with a simple three letter word: mom. My mother has been the greatest inspiration in my life and is the main reason that I am where I am and who I am today.
