I decided to attend to North Carolina A&T for many reasons such as its scholarships and other forms of financial aid that it provided, its strong engineering program and challenging academics, and its pride that can be felt throughout the campus. Attending A&T was a great financial choice because it offered me the most money out of the schools I had applied for because of good amount of scholarship money it gave me to attend school. If I would have went to other schools I would have to take out a lot of loan money just too barely pay to attend. North Carolina A&T is well known for its excellent STEM based programs. ...Selecting a college to attend was a lengthy process. I applied to four different schools. I outweighed all the pros and cons of each college. The ultimate goal was to persevere and graduate with a degree. As a high school student, I think I found Ohio State appealing because of all the hype that surrounded it. Once I came to the conclusion that I wanted to go into the medical field, I realized that I needed to be in an atmosphere where I could maintain my focus. Nonetheless, the most consequential influencing factor was regarding finances. Case was extremely expensive but I received a substantial amount of financial help compared to Ohio State. In addition, I was fortunate to obtain a work study job that helped with living expenses. I knew that college would not be easy especially given Case’s reputation. In the end, I am confident I made the correct decision.
The argument about if college is worth it or not has been one of the biggest arguments throughout the media for decades. Students suffer a lot from the debts that they get from college and also the amount of studying that they do in college and when they graduate they ask themselves “is graduation from college really worth all the money that we paid and all the work that we have done?”
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. A majority of people these days are planning or are going to college. These people have many reasons for going to college. The option of going to college is a major decision and there are many factors that are considered in making this decision. One of the many reasons of making the decision to go to college is to receive a bigger salary. Another reason is for the opportunities that become available from going to college. As a senior in the college decision process, all facets of each considered college need to be analyzed closely in order to put myself in the best position for the next four years as well as the rest of my life. Clemson University and the University of Virginia (UVA) are two colleges that would provide me with not only a great degree but also the student life and social scene that tailors to my personality. College is the next chapter in my life that can define how successful I will be in my future. These two colleges provide me with a great chance to succeed academically as well as a chance to succeed socially. I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. At that time difficult decision to make and I was too very to decide. They are both great and respected schools. But most of my friends were going to Northeastern. As much as I wanted to go where my friends did, I didn’t. After comparing many facts like, the price of education, and the travel distance, I chose UMass Amherst. Even though I still feel bad for not being close to my friends, I have the benefit to get the same education at a much cheaper school. And I also feel that my decision was right because it is much closer to my home and I can go home whenever I want.
The college that I am going to attend is North Central Texas College in Bowie, Texas it is a community college, I am going there for my basics. NCTC is a small semi diverse college, it is good for learning your basics like any other community college is good for. The reason I am going to this college is because I would like to be a higher rank once I enter the Air Force. “There is a total enrollment of 513 students, 214 male 299 female, out of those students 55 are in district and 458 are out of district. I chose West Virginia University to go to college because I utterly love that school. My cousin, Nicole, attended WVU and received her chemist degree there. I do not only want to go to WVU because she went there, but because it’s close to home. I want to go to a college where I do not have to drive five or six hours to go home and see my family. Family is yet another motive why I want to go to WVU. My family is one of the biggest football and basketball fans ever. Every time there is a Mountaineer football or basketball game on television, you bet my family is watching it, even if they are losing.
College is a wonderful thing for anyone to experience. It is an opportunity for yourself to not only taking the steps you need for a future career, but you will learn so much about who you are. You will make new friends and you will be exposed to some many new things. Everyone has a right to education and to create a desired future for themselves. Picking the right college can be tricky, but it is not impossible. There can be so many colleges that you like, yet there is only one that is meant for you. It is important to reflect on the pros and cons, considering the fact that you will might even be living there. These years of your life should be the best years of your life, so you want to make sure you find a place that you know will fulfill your hopes and dreams.
Noted authors, Brandon Chambers, is quoted saying, “If you are going to fear anything fear success. Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I am attending college for several different reasons. One reason is to further my education. I hate feeling like I don’t know something, I like being the person everyone comes to for information. Also, because I want to be better prepared for my major, I want to be better then the next person with the job credentials. I want to major in Social Work and Criminology. I dream to be a counselor or an clinical service social worker. I want to help people who need someone there for them someone who can guide them or even just talk too. Another reason is because I would be the first in I would be the first in my family to go to college. I feel in some type of way I am setting an example for my parents and my brother that they too can go back to school. Lastly is simply because I love school. I love knowing more and more each day. College is not for everyone, but I will be successful by grasping the benefits, preparing for the problems, taking heed from experts, and working on strategies to be successful.
With all the advantages and disadvantages, I would still choose this college because it offers what I want to major in. And I can reach my goal if I follow the requirements to get into this college and put a lot of effort into what I do and focus more. Even though there may be a few more disadvantages, it's still all about getting were you want to be in life and do you best even if you must step out of your comfort

As much as I love the football team, I chose to apply to Texas Tech because of their academics. Texas Tech is among the best universities in the country. I also chose Texas Tech because of the people. On my campus visit, I found that the students and staff were very nice and welcoming.
