The area of the medical field that interest me the most is the area of Radiology, once I have this degree, I will continue my education until I get my degree in sonography license, and this is the field that I want to work in, or my final goal for collage. My next step in achieving this goal is to take the last few classes that are required as prerequisites to enter a two year program, at either North Idaho Community College or Spokane Community College. I hope to be entering the radiology program in about one or two semesters, this I is all depending on whether, or not all my credits transfer over from my last collage in Reno Nevada, and as I took the past year off I’m still in the process of apply to these schools, and getting my FASA filled out, so don’t yet know that credits will transfer. …show more content…
So, I took the intro to radiology courses that the collaged offered, and was sold right then and there on the field of radiology, so started taking credits towards this degree. This career has a decent pay scale, and there is room for advancements with in this field, in such areas as, diagnostic radiology, oncology radiology, pediatric radiology, vascular and interventional radiology, and sonography, just to name a few you of course need more education to get into these field, but can choose a specially after reviving ones radiology
As an ultrasound technician/sonographer I will have the ability to see dangerous defects within the human anatomy and begin a lifelong profession with many benefits. The Ultrasound was first invented in the early 1900’s and was surprisingly not used to produce photos of a fetus. In 1917 Paul Langen a marine life scientist used a form of ultrasound equipment in his attempt to detect submarines. After many failed attempts at using high frequency sound waves Dr. Ian Donald and his team in Glasgow, Scotland invented the first ultrasound machine in 1957. Dr. Donald even tested his machine on patients within a year of completing the invention, by the late 1950’s ultrasounds became routine in Glasgow hospitals.

I will begin my education at Germanna in the fall of 2017 and later transfer to a university to get my bachelors. Pushing myself towards my bachelors can impact my future greatly. Attending Germanna’s nursing program will take about 3 years in total. I have a semester of prerequisites that I have to take before I can even apply to their nursing program. After that semester, there is an application process that everyone applying has to go through. If accepted into the program, I will be attending for two years as a full time student. In that time, I will earn my education and prepare myself for the state test that Virginia provides to all students earning their degree as RNs. After passing the state test and completing my courses at Germanna, I will graduate as a Registered Nurse. In my last year of Germanna’s program, I will have options to specialize in a field of nursing. In that time, I will learn everything and anything about becoming a great labor and delivery
When choosing a career there are many factors that I will need to look at: will it be something I enjoy; am I just in it for the money; will the job be around years from now; how will it affect my family and me; how will I benefit from the job; and how will my personality fit in? I used to work at Conroe Regional Medical Center in the Radiology Department and watching everyone scurry around the halls was very exciting to me. I knew I always wanted to be in the medical industry I just really wasn’t sure where I would fit in just yet. Many times I have thought about going back to school, and many times I have put it off and I kept making excuses and for many reasons and many times I have put it off because I was scared. There finally came a time in my life to where I could not put it off anymore - it was now or never. In saying this I needed a job that will have a solid future and great job security. The career I have chosen is Radiology Technologist. The reason I have chosen radiology technologist is because I am a hands on person and love working with and seeing different people every day. Radiologic technologists have a great outlook in the job industry the employment is expected to grow 28 percent between 2010 and 2020. You can either work in a hospital setting which at times can be a hectic environment. Because many places offer the same imaging equipment that the hospitals have, you can now work in a clinical setting which would be a little more calm and regular set hours. In May 2010 the median yearly wage was $54,340 and can earn as high as $76,850.

Any english classes will help both in college and in high school. When in college a the student has to pick a college that offers a clinic on site or they go to the hospital to get the hours they need and hand on work.
I was inspired and motivated when I saw radiographers worked on X-Rays, MRI, CT and Ultrasound scanners to produce body images which were used for disease diagnosis. Even though I was not performing a technical job, this experience installed me with a positive impression towards my decision to change a career to the Radiography.

My interest in nursing began at age 18 at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut where I was trained as a Certified Care Partner, then as a Phlebotomist, followed by a two year surgical floor assignment and a one year burn unit stint.
My personal experiences however, do set me apart. I did not always seek a career in radiology. My first semester in college I was actually striving to be a paralegal and quickly realized that although I have a talent for paying attention to small details and great communication skills, that particular career was not the way I wanted to utilize those natural talents. This forced me to really look deep within myself and figure out what career would give me a true sense of fulfillment, success and happiness; this led me to the Nursing field. Shortly after starting towards this career path I needed to take a break to focus on becoming a
The education you need for a radiologist is very basic, but begins to become harder as you want to progress in this field. You typically can start with an associates degree, and eventually work your way up to getting a bachelor degree. There are also postsecondary education programs that can lead you to get your graduate certificate or bachelor's degrees. Some of the programs you take may include not only your classroom studies, but also clinical work, which is the hands on type of stuff. Some of the courses you may take for this field are anatomy, pathology, patient care, radiation physics and protection, and image evaluation. Depending on what type of radiation you specialize in can help improve your employment opportunities and earnings.
Choosing what medical specialty to pursue as a career is often a dilemma for medical students. This however wasn’t the case for me. During my clinical rotations at King Edwards Medical University, I was fortunate enough to observe many patients whose correct diagnosis could not be made without the radiologist’s input. These experiences combined with an urge to channel my inner sherlock led me to pursue a residency in diagnostic radiology. After graduation, I joined the esteemed Radiology department of Aga Khan University for residency, one of the best residency programs in the country.
I don’t see myself earning a bachelor’s degree for my future, but if something came along that required me to earn a bachelor’s then I would definitely go back to school. I do, however, find interest in a couple of the modalities that radiography has to offer. After working as a diagnostic radiographer for a couple of years, I would like to earn a certificate in Computed Tomography or Magnetic Resonance Imaging. I think that either one of those would be equally satisfying in leveling up in my career. I would most likely want earn one of those certificates from Sinclair because I think that this department is amazing.
The purpose of this letter is to apply for admission to the International Relations program of the [INSERT UNIVERSITY HERE] for the Fall 2011 session. I had begun my undergraduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005 pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. During these times, I had taken courses focusing on various subjects. After having completed 100 credits, I gained admission to the VCU Dental School but I had decided to leave the dental school to pursue my true passion in international politics. My first encounter with politics happened in 2005 when I took part in a rally for Kuwaiti women’s right to vote in the parliamentary elections. I have always believed strongly in women's right to vote, and I even joined a national committee to advocate this worthwhile case. The results of our advocacy had been substantial and Kuwaiti women had received their right to vote in May 2005. Aside from this, I also joined various committees which have been fighting against the political money corruption during Kuwaiti parliamentary elections. Thus, these involvements have whetted my appetite to be a part of the political arena.
