My Education and career goals will be majoring in Biology so I can go onto study for Radiologist. Probably, I noticed when my parents and also my mentor inspired to great things and never giving up what you love. I picked Radiologist because I saw how the doctors interact with people, doing a lot of computer, diagnosis, and it also maintain to be in a medical field and that will be a challenge. The things that affected me to participate what I do for the community is to help others. I know is challenging for me to stay professional and cooperate with people, but it would be best to interact with their needs. The career path that I want to pursue is in the medical field. I major in psychology and minor in biology because going to medical school has always been my desire. Being a pediatrician is my goal I wish to conquer. I am beyond interested and passionate about this career. It is not just a career, it is my life dreams. I want to be able to enjoy going to work every day knowing I love my job and I am here because I want to. Being a pediatrician I am able to work with children and many people of different cultures. I am thrilled to know that I will be capable of caring for sick children.
The potential profession I am going to pursue is Radiology. Radiology deals with taking x-rays of the body and diagnosing what you find wrong. How the radiology unit works is getting a patient and having the radiologist technician take images of the body by using machines. Different types of machines such as, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and positron emission tomography (PET), identify all the images being taken of the human body (Phillip Costello, 2014). After the images have been taken they are sent to the radiologist to be interpreted. After being interpreted the patient is then told their diagnoses. Each of these steps involves writing in a certain form. Writing is a form of communication in the radiology unit so it must be specific and clear for someone else to interpret.
Attending Florida Southwestern State College to become an x-ray tech is a huge accomplish for me. Because I have a learning disability unfortunately I have to take remedial courses like intermediate algebra, Brush up English, and a reading course the first semester. The good thing about studying Radiology is you can switch to any type of jobs in this field. For an example, you can switch to working with MRI’s or Cat Scans if you want to try another department in the Radiology field. This specific field is for you to work with x-rays. It’s important to know the bone structure .You can work with ultrasounds to, Cat Scans, to MRI’s (Magnetic resonance imaging).
The role of the radiologist is one that has undergone numerous changes over the years and continues to evolve a rapid pace. Radiologists specialize in the diagnoses of disease through obtaining and interpreting medical images. There are a number of different devices and procedures at the disposal of a radiologist to aid him or her in these diagnoses’. Some images are obtained by using x-ray or other radioactive substances, others through the use of sound waves and the body’s natural magnetism. Another sector of radiology focuses on the treatment of certain diseases using radiation (RSNA). Due to vast clinical work and correlated studies, the radiologist may additionally sub-specialize in various areas. Some of these sub-specialties include breast imaging, cardiovascular, Computed Tomography (CT), diagnostic radiology, emergency, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, pediatric radiology, radiobiology, and Ultrasound (Schenter). After spending a vast amount of time on research and going to internship at the hospital, I have come to realize that my passion in science has greatly intensified. Furthermore, both experiences helped to shape up my future goals more prominently than before, which is coupled with the fact that I have now established a profound interest in radiology, or rather nuclear medicine.
I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
Radiologic Technologist or Technicians are also known as Radiographers who specialize in the imaging of human anatomy. Radiographers are known as x-ray technicians in many countries that use the title Radiologic Technologist they are informally referred to as a tech in clinical environment. I choose to become a Radiologic Technologist because it’s a successful career, college is no more than four years, a very well paid job and is also a very advanced job that has many opportunities.
Because of its speciality, diagnostic radiography would be the career path I would like to take. I feel that I would be a very successful Radiographer because I believe that my personality is a perfect fit for a successful radiologist. - I'm responsible, caring, supportive, trusting, and empathetic and I believe I am always positive with a smile
My mission in life is to become a Radiologist. I will fufill my dream on becoming a Radiologists by studying and getting a good grades. I will promise everyone that I will study for each test or quizzes.
My mission statement would be that I seek to better myself and my community through the furthering of my educaion and intentional, purposeful living. Rather than go through life just working and paying bills, I would like to make a difference. This ties largely into my two biggest goals, which are to become a nurse and at the same time, raise a family. When I was in high school, much of my future plan was what my parents told me I should do. They had high expectations, and I always agreed with them. I always wanted to go into the medical field because I love people, and the fact that medical professions often have hgiehr incomes meant a lot towards my other goals of having a family. My mom wanted me to become a Radiologist, so that's what I told people I was going to be for a long time.
Radiologist is no Beyoncé or Rihanna but they are a real important people to this society that actually save people not just sing songs and get millions for it. The radiologist career is one of the most important physician’s jobs at a local hospital and as a very high pay with a very important part in the medical field. Even though it sounds like it’s something that as to do with a radio it’s more than that they help people feel better and find out what happening inside of them.
When I was younger, I always imagined having a job helping others in the medical profession. My favorite quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson, which states," The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." This is perfect to me because I hope to live my life this way. I would always think about what my future would look like, because I always try to plan ahead. High school was the time in my life when I started to process what I really wanted to do as my future career. Many life experiences that I faced helped me make the decision on wanting to become a Physician Assistant.
My personal experiences however, do set me apart. I did not always seek a career in radiology. My first semester in college I was actually striving to be a paralegal and quickly realized that although I have a talent for paying attention to small details and great communication skills, that particular career was not the way I wanted to utilize those natural talents. This forced me to really look deep within myself and figure out what career would give me a true sense of fulfillment, success and happiness; this led me to the Nursing field. Since starting this class, introduction to health care, I have begun to think about what the future holds for me and what I will pursue with my college degree. Reflecting on my 30 years of experience working in a variety of healthcare roles and facilities, my reflections solidify that my passion is to assist in the care of people and to positively impact their healthcare journey. I also am very interested in technology. While my early career began with a variety of nursing roles, it soon transitioned to the radiological sciences which offered the best of both worlds. Therefore, If I could work in my ideal position at my current organization, it would be the Director of Radiology position.
