The workplace, including its composition and internal organization, is subjected to extensive regulation by the state. The civil society and its voluntary associations, have in fact, an important function with regards to workplace matters. In particular, they serve as a buffer against the state and an autonomous domain. Without them, differences and individual voices can eventually challenge the prevailing political order. But civil society and associational life in particular, perform other crucial functions that depend not on separating and shielding individuals from the society at large but on linking them to each other and to the society.
In general, workplaces have grown to be more sociable, cooperative and integrated. Nonetheless, issues appear to be inevitable in any working environment. Some would think the unions influence has created a power struggle between management and union leaders. In today’s time, some citizens insist the existence of unions are a must to aid in employee freedom, while others view the labor unions as just another problem in the line of progress. The purpose of labor unions was for employed workers to come together and collectively agree on fundamental workplace objectives. The rise of the union came about after the Civil War- responding to the industrial economy. Surprisingly at the least unions became popular within the 1930-50’s and began to slowly decrease, starting in the 1960’s on to today. Although, the popularity of labor unions has decreased, its importance remains to be evident with politics, journalism, auto, and the public education industries. The objective of this paper is to shine light upon labor unions, taking a closer look at the disputed issues of union ethics, concerns of union diversity, and the opposing viewpoints of labor unions.

An environmentalist is a person worships the environment and cares for nature more than people. Christians and others share the common perception that environmental ethics exist for how human beings should relate to the land, the free market perceptive and the environmental perceptive. Humans share a relationship with all creations of the earth. But as humans, they find themselves as having a role in the created order which is they have a closer relationship with the creator who has charged them with acting responsible within his creation. Even allowing a common complaint of environmental activists is that Stewardship means that the earth was made exclusively because of human beings - that having dominion upper nature is the same as having the power and directly of domination. Christians consequently share a close relationship by means of the whole of aspects of creation, since in relation to the environment, its unbroken humanity, not unbroken nature, that's seen to be the problem. Stewardship in simple terms means to manage someone else’s property. Christians proclaims that everything belong to God, so as Christians, we need to have the attitude that our belongings are his belongings. As stewards, we have the responsibility of being in charge of the earth. We have been placed in charge and are responsible for whatever happens to it, even though it does not belong to us, as we all know it belong to God. In Genesis 2:15, God took man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to work and take care of it.

When God created the world, He created everything. Genesis 1 gives all of mankind the wonderful narrative of His creation. God made the sky, the sun, moon, and stars. God also made land, the waters of the oceans and streams. God also made the animals to inhabit the land, sky, and waters. In addition, He made the plants that grow on the land He created. God’s crowning creation was the creation of man. God’s creation of man came along with some big responsibilities. Specifically, He made man responsible for caring for all that He had created. Genesis 2:15 says, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” God is in the middle of everything that is going on. Since Christians know from Isaiah 45:18 that God created the earth “to be inhabited”, we know that nothing God did was just by chance or an accident. The creation is something quite valuable that should be preserved in order to stay beautiful as it was intended (Baldwin, 2006). The problem we encounter as human beings is that this is completely impossible. The more we exist and interact with the world that God created, the more we mess things up. Genesis 3 describes for us the result of sin on the earth; that result being pain during childbirth, the ground being cursed, “painful toil” to cultivate the ground, and ultimately death. And it has not improved since that day. Humans today need to stop living carelessly and start living in a way to sustain life on earth (DeWitt, & Nash, 2009). As things stand now, the lives of generations in the future are at stake here. Ken Ham wrote, “the whole of creation is running down and wearing out” (Ham, 2000). Even though the world has progressed greatly in the last couple of decades, both socially and technologically, racism, hatred and prejudice still exists today, deeply embedded in old-fashioned, narrow-minded traditions and values.

Abstract- Racial discrimination happens all the time and most of us are unaware of it. The most common place for this to happen is in the workplace. Now people can be discriminated against because of their race, religion, or any other numerous things. Also, discrimination can occur during the job interview or even after you got the job. This paper will shoe the effects of racial discrimination and how it can be prevented. In addition there are some very important laws that deal specifically with discrimination, like the NAACP or Affirmative Action. These both will be discussed.
Harassment and discrimination claims are due to lack of education about the subject. As an independent human resources consultant, Santiago-Santos will organize a local education campaign and provide employers with different trainings to educate them and their employees about harassment and discrimination. Employers will have a better understanding on how to develop internal policies and procedures to address these claims. Also, trainings will be provided for employees and they will be educated on how to prevent and identify harassment and discrimination as well as what steps to take in order to report such behavior.

There are many different approaches and theories regarding industrial relations nowadays. In order to mount an opinion on which is the ‘best’ or most appropriate theory of industrial relations, each theory will have to be analyzed. The three most prevalent theories of industrial relations which exist are The Unitarist theory, The Pluralist theory and The Marxist theory. Each offers a particular perception of workplace relations and will therefore interpret such events as workplace conflict, the role of trade unions and job regulation very differently. I will examine each of these theories in turn and then formulate my own opinion regarding which is the ‘best’ or most appropriate theory.
