Sixty-two percent of children that are African American, Asian, or Hispanic are bullied in the United States because of their race (Bullying and school climates statistics). According to Jade Macklin, “at least two million people are affected by racism each year.” Racism results in a mixture of self-confidence issues and the deprivation of certain cultures. It has been a big problem throughout our history and yet we still cannot figure out how to stop it. India, Pakistan and Russia are the top three most racist countries. Disrespecting someone based on their race is wrong, you should get to know someone before making any sort of opinion of them. The Non-Discrimination law states that all Americans should be treated equally no matter what, but even with this law America has still become more racist than it was in the 1990s.

To put racism to an end people need to start acting because racism is still affecting people every day around the world and it is not going to stop if we do not do something about it.One remedy to stop racism is having kids make positive interactions with people of a different race at a young age. Another way to stop discrimination is if you see a person being bullied in any way due to racism tell an adult immediately. Placing posters around schools, cities and towns about racism will also help put end to it because then people will realize that racism is still an issue.

People around the world are still discriminating others based on their race and it needs to be stopped. We have the power to put an end to racism, everyone just needs to realize that we are all equal. No one should have to suffer through the pai of being bullied or harassed for something they cannot change. Out of a 100,000 population 2,000 people will commit suicide due to racism
