Even though her family was taken away from her when she was young she still pushed on. Also she told us that she is a cancer survivor, which proves she is a fighter as well. She moved to America got married had kids which is a blessing for someone who family was taken from them. Miller survived everything she been through by fighting and not giving up in life. Miller was a positive speaker and she talked about happy moments like she remember how her family got together on Saturdays. I think being positive and thinking of those memories is what gave her hope. In addition, something that surprised me is that her mother changed her name and moved out to the country but she did not do same with her sister. Something inspirational is that she survived so much and still surviving things today. Something helpful that Miller provided was indirectly said is that even though life is hard there is happiness somewhere. Her entire speech had me speechless I did not what to feel one moment I was sad, then I was happy then shocked it was a lot of emotions throughout the

I decided to watch the testimony of Sally Roisman, a holocaust survivor. Sally had a strictly orthodox family, with a mother, father, and 10 siblings. Their family owned a textile mill which made dresses and suits. Sally attended a Jewish girls school but didn’t get the chance to finish her education before her school was closed down. Her teachers said very good things about her and that made her and her mother happy. Sally later returned and studied to finish school after the war. She still studies to make up for her loss today. Her family lived in an apartment complex were 15 families lived. 50% of the families were Jews in the complex.
In researching testimony, I chose to write about Eva Kor’s experience during the Holocaust. Eva and her family were taken to Auschwitz II- Birkenau from a Ceheiu which was a Romania ghetto in the 1940’s. Eva’s story starts out in Port, Romania where she was born and raised with her family before the Holocaust. Eva’s family consisted of her twin sister Miriam, two older sisters Aliz and Edit, and her parents Alexander and Jaffa. The last time Eva saw her father and sisters were when they arrived in Auschwitz after exiting the train. Eva and Miriam were with their mother until a man asked if they were twins.Their mother said yes, after asking if that was a good thing and then they were taken away never to see her again. Once taken away, they were brought to a barrack for twins where they were kept for Mengele to conduct experimentations.
When in America, Helen found that it was hard not to talk about past and the stories of her imprisonment. “Some survivors found it impossible to talk about their pasts. By staying silent, they hoped to bury the horrible nightmares of the last few years. They wanted to spare their children and those who knew little about the holocaust from listening to their terrible stories.” In the efforts to save people from having to hear about the gruesome past, the survivors also lacked the resources to mentally recovery from the tragedy.

Ruth Posner is one of the many few holocaust survivors and a great dancer, choreographer and actress. Ruth was born on April 20, 1933, in Warsaw. She was raised in a Jewish family with her parents, but went to a Catholic school. At home, she spoke Polish. By the time she was just 12, and the Second World War was underway, Ruth had lost both her parents and her world as she knew it. She was in the middle of the Holocaust.

Reggie Miller has proven himself to be not only one of the best Pacer’s of all time, but one of the best shooters in the history of the National Basketball Association. Miller played in the NBA for eighteen seasons. He is also arguably the best player to ever play on the Indiana Pacers. Miller is easily one of the greatest and purest shooters to ever play the game. Reggie Miller is undeniably one of the most dominant players to ever play, due to his uncanny ability to dismantle the confidence of any player that he has ever faced, his ability to hit shots under pressure, and his loyalty to his franchise.
One of the many perks of being my mother’s daughter is that I’ve been able to go with her to workshops about the Holocaust both that she’s attended and created. Because of that, I have been fortunate enough to listen to survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides give testimony right in front of me. One thing I’ve observed through my exposure to Holocaust testimony is that I don’t know much about the topic of Holocaust resistance.
