This is a general quote of all Christians, regardless of their individual state of faith in Christ Jesus.
Before God can be for you, one has to be ready to walk along with God in faith, and prepare his mind ready for the Holy Spirit to dwell in.
Moreover, to have faith in God is to stand faithfully with Him even to the point of death like Shadrack, Meshach, and Abednego. {Dan. 3:-15-18}
Rev. 3:-20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me."

Matt. 10:-37 "He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me."
Anyone that is not worthy of Him is not one of His: Therefore one has to properly check himself to know if God be for him.
Some are anxiously waiting for God to lowered His requirements by downgrading the Ten Commandments to suit their ungodly behaviors.
In conclusion: God will not kidnap or force anyone to obedience, it is out of ones free will.
Therefore if you are not of God, don't pick up a fight with the devil.
