Pursuing A Higher Education Essay

Pursuing a higher education is a way of bettering yourself for the world. By bettering yourself, you can impact and change the lives of others, helping with education and being involved in the quality in which others learn to live. Higher education can help to create a work environment that will impact you and your family. Better education also means better wages to extend the value of your education by increasing your yearly income.

I feel that education can set a chain reaction into motion by helping one person better understand why and how their disease is started and continued you can hopefully prevent other generations from making the mistakes of the past by catching the problem before it starts. This is an amazing gift that being in the medical field allows us to have. Bettering the future can start with you furthering you education.

Here are some reasons that show why a higher education can benefit you, Medical jobs with no college degree pay $20,000-$40,000 annually on average. Allied Health Careers with two years of college pay from $40,000-60,000 annually and Nursing Careers with Associate’s or Bachelor Degree pay $40,000-55,000 on average annually. While with an advanced nursing career with a Master's Degree earned pay of

$60,000- $90,000 plus annually. A Pharmacist with a Bachelor's and Pharm D pays $90,000-$115,000 annually and a Physician with a Medical Doctorate requires pay of $120,000-$500,000 annually, which shows how having an education can increase you annual income drastically.
Wages of individuals with a working degree are substantially increased that that of an individual without.

By gaining a higher wage you have the ability to provide and care for your family and self. To me this means that I will be able to provide my children with the ability to gain a higher education and provide a stable healthy environment for them to continue it in. If more individuals would continue educations after high school for better careers with higher wages, this would also change the poverty level and change the lives of children being raised on welfare. Hopefully changing the prospective of young adults on the benefits of gaining a degree will begin to make meaningful change in the outcome of their

life.
When I think of a better work environment I begin by thinking where I began working in high school to where I am now. In high school, I worked in fast food it was stressful, dirty and I was treated with little to no respect from customers and management, but I was young and not fully educated. Next I began working as a housekeeper at a medical center, while continuing my education in trade school as a Phlebotomist. For me this job was much better than fast food and I learned what it was like to work in a business where individuals with higher educations were willing to help you and listen to you, not treat you as less of a human this made me want to become one of the team. My current job environment is great it has conditioned me to grow in the medical field. I have seen and learned so much regarding the medical field in my five years working in the laboratory, but I have also learned that it is not where I want to stop. I want to step forward to a higher work environment that is why I have chosen respiratory therapy. I desire having their ability to educate and help patients in the way they do. For me this goes to show even the smallest jump in the environment can change your outlook on where you want to be in life.
In conclusion I feel that furthering your education is the best way to change the outcome of your future. Having a higher education will change your work environment, wage and can improve the quality of others around you. I also believe that we should provide better facts to
