The definition of purpose is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. Each person on this earth has purpose for being here. We were all created for some reason. Everyday we are alive we discover something new about ourselves. And everyday we get hints about what our purpose in life is. Eventually we figure it out. I believe that I have found my purpose in life, and I believe that it is to help others in any way I can and make others feel good. It took me a while to figure out what purpose my life serves. And it was not until I was in third grade that I got a hint of what I was supposed to do in my life. My elementary principal had decided that we were going to adopt a family for Christmas and give them the presents they would not receive without our help. The day we bought gifts for the children, I was on cloud nine. I felt wonderful and it came from helping that family. I am very fortunate to live the life I live, so I have loved giving back. As the years have gone on I have involved myself into more volunteer situations. I cannot seem to get enough. That is why I …show more content…
To prepare myself for that, in high school I am going to take a class that gives me my CSN. With that I will be able to get experience in the nursing field before applying to the nursing school. I want to specialize in working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). I have toured a NICU and I fell in love. All of the people in that area of the hospital wanted to do the exact thing I wanted to do, they all wanted to help others. The job I want is not an easy job. It will be hard both emotionally and mentally. I do understand that I cannot save every baby, which will be difficult. But I want to help as many as I can so I will do everything in my being to help the babies I care for. I hope to help multiple babies and families throughout my
After all the research I would still like to be a neonatal nurse. I am really interested in this job so I think I will stick with it. I like taking care of babies, they are so much fun.
e. Tala - There's always a purpose to your life. You live for the same reason the way that some people die for some reasons. Where you are today is a combination of all your past actions, decisions, as well as those of the people around you and how they have affected
Finding a meaning to life and to nature is something all people try to do, but is there really a correct answer? Maybe the purpose to life is actually finding the purpose to life, or it might just be to enjoy living and all the experiences that come with it. Douglas Adams, the author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, brings this up in his novel. Throughout the book, the theme nature and its meaning is shown through the knowledge that the main character accumulates.
The meaning of life is to find the meaning of life. Is it not? We all go through each day trying to figure out which road out the infinite amount of paths will lead us in a better direction where happiness is prominent and society is flawless. However, not every single human being is going to fit on that narrow, one-lane highway to success. Bad choices, accidents, fate, family matters, society, temptation, anger, rage, addiction, and loss of hope can all be deciding factors in opting to choose that wrong path to self-destruction. The adverse thing is, once you've traveled so far down the road, you get so discouraged that you feel like you can never turn back or make up for the "lost time."
During my undergraduate years in college I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to become when I “grew up”. I would study various professions and never felt like anything fit for me. One evening I sat down with my aunt, a nurse, and I was talking to her about how I couldn’t decide on a major and how frustrating it was to be in college feeling as if I did not have any direction. She looked at me with complete surprise on her face and said, “You aren’t applying for nursing school?” I stared at her for a moment because I was confused as to why she would ask me that. She chuckled and proceeded to tell me that she had always assumed that I would be a nurse because I spent several years of my life taking care of my 3 year old cousin who had cancer. For three years I was his caregiver and it had never occurred to me that I could make a living caring for people. I then spent countless hours researching nursing and what exactly nurses did. This was it! I had finally found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! It took no time at all to know that I wanted to specialize in pediatrics. Throughout my clinical experiences in nursing school I have immensely enjoyed working on the Pediatric units as well as the Nursery. I am now absolutely certain that I am meant to be a pediatric nurse. Cook Children’s is recognized as a Magnet-designated hospital and is one of the best children’s hospitals in the US. Being a Cook Children’s nurse resident would allow me to fulfill my passion and dream of pediatric nursing. I am interested in a nurse residency at Cook Children’s because of its excellent reputation in patient satisfaction, standard of care, and community involvement. A residency at Cook Children’s would allow me to gain more experience and know...
I am currently planning to attend Richland Community college and graduate as a registered nurse. The reason I chose this career is because helping out others has always driven me forward. I want to study something that I know I will be content doing for the rest of my life and registered nursing is the right choice. Being a nurse has a many perquisites, but my choice has nothing to do with the advantages that it will provide me with. It is more about the fact that I have the chance to make people who are ill feel better and also to hel...
With Emily graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, I knew I would be getting useful and excellent advice from her. The first most important question I asked was, “What was the hardest part about nursing school?” Emily commented that the “clinical preparation worksheet were time consuming given you had to start on the worksheets a day before the clinical, then go to clinicals early to look up information, then after spend several hours looking up different medications and lab values.” With this being said I am definitely not surprised because I know that the nursing program is very time consuming as a whole, and it is a very competitive program. However, I am so excited and driven for this challenge because in the end of all the schooling, I will have achieved one of my biggest goals. The next question asked, “Do you have any advice to someone like me that is going into the nursing field?” Emily confidently answered with, “Keep an open mind about all the different specialties. Especially during school, be willing to try different areas and working with different populations.” I am really glad that Emily gave me this advice because I am so interested in pediatrics, but I also need to keep in mind that I need to experience working with different
“Life is a balanced system of learning, adjusting, and evolving. Whether pleasure or pain; every situation in your life serves a purpose. It is up to us to recognize what that purpose could be.” - Dr. Steve Maraboli
Many people wonder: what is the meaning of life? What is the human purpose on this earth? At least one time in our lifetime, we all look at ourselves and wonder if we are living our lives the way we were meant to live them. Sadly, there is not a definite answer to the principles of human life. Every human comes from different backgrounds and different experiences throughout their existence.
I chose Neonatal Nurse Practitioner as a career because I love working with kids and helping others. Ever since I was in fifth grade I loved spending time/ babysitting with my baby cousins. My family always tells me I am compassionate and have a strong love for younger children. Oh the other hand, my sister and a few of my cousins are nurses on the labor and delivery floor, which has influenced me tremendously. I have always been curious to see what it is like to take care of our future generations. On a personal level, nursing appeals to me for many reasons, but some of the primary ones include the fulfillment of my life’s purpose and its family-friendly nature. In order to fully understand the relevance of Neonatal Nursing in today’s society, it is imperative to explore the benefits, background, programs, and
First, I would like to start by stating that my expectation of a nurse is that he or she must be a good communicator, emotionally strong, empathetic, patient and calm, pay attention to detail and have good physical endurance. I feel that I possess these qualities which would make me very successful as nurse in the future. I have dream about being a nurse since I was a little girl and as a young adult, I still have the desire to be a nurse so I can help others. My desire to become a nurse evolves from past experiences that have taken place in my life; for example, my father’s death, my illness, personal experience and interaction with the hospital staff, specifically, the nurses.
Everyone has a purpose and a calling in life, and it is our duty to find what that
I have always been to asking myself what is meaning of life? or what I supposed to do ? or what I have to achieve? . Meaning of life what 's you have been given? what you have given by different kind of human? I truly believe that every single person in the world has a purpose in life. God created each and every one of us for a reason. Whether we know it or not our life is planned and we follow a path throughout our life. In this path, we have the option to make good decisions or bad decisions. In order to achieve salvation and enter a virtuous after life we had to do deeds that had a positive impact on other people. In order to do this though, one must have the self-discipline and devotion to God. There are many obstacles that can get in the way of achieving this goal and the main one is our desires. Desire is a strong feeling of something we want or wish to have. Our desire negatively impacts our life because it detaches our body both physically and emotionally from our mind which then influences us to make morally wrong decisions.
I have always wanted to become a nurse since I was a little girl, seeing both of my grandmothers working in a hospitals and always helping everyone in need. My goals in becoming a nurse is just the basic foundation of just helping people who physically cannot help themselves. I want to be able to shed light in people's lives who are losing it because of their situation. I feel as nurses is the backbone in the hospital. The nurses are there day in and day out with the patients, holding their hands and walking them and their families throughout such a difficult time. Nurses are also their supporting the doctors and all other staff. I’ve found especially in these past few years that I want to spend my life helping others and that's what I can
