Puppies. Who doesn’t like puppies? Smiley, tiny furry funny little animals that send you unconditional love all the time. Dogs are only one of the many types of animals that can provide great mental and physical health benefits to people. Positive energy and excitement is all you need for a smile to automatically be put on your face. You unknowingly grin when you see this amazing small, giddy furball rolling around on the ground, it almost reminds you of your childhood; careless and free is the right way to be. There must be a country minimum of one puppy per household. If it were up to me, there would be federal funding to help support these puppies to keep all households safe and happy for the puppies to live and play in. Allowing these puppies healthy homes, they will be at their prime for keeping our countries people happy and healthy as well. Studies performed in America and Canada have shown many personal health benefits due to the additions of puppies to people's lives. In 1998 a woman and her pup were discovered after the dog tried to bite a mole off his owner and she found out that it was a spot of melanoma and she immediately had it removed. Her dog sensed her cancer before she had the chance to visit her doctor, thinking it was nothing. A trained dog had the accuracy of finding thirty three cases of cancer out of thirty seven. Dogs cannot only sense skin cancer but also are found to be able to detect bladder cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, as well as colorectal cancer. It’s amazing what dogs can do for a human, they need someone to look out for them, and they will look out for
I, along with thousands of other people, believe that it is completely ridiculous that puppies are being killed because of unpleasant human beings. They deserve to have a full life and not be put to sleep because there are not enough good people in this world to take care of them and give them the life that they deserve. If you decide to purchase a puppy from a pet store, it keeps the cycle strong by encouraging more breeding, which leads to even more killing of the canine’s. However, if you adopt a dog from a rescue facility, it saves the puppies lives. If we stop the breeders from breeding more dogs, this will settle down and nearly all the dogs in the world will have a home.
Ladies and gentlemen of the Board, thankyou for allowing me to come and discuss with you the important message that is established in the Australian film Red Dog, directed by Kriv Stenders and why Australians should understand red dog, and why the board should display red dog at this year’s film festival.
The little girl and Mom saved the puppy from the Puppy Shop, right? Yes, they did save that ONE puppy, but they only added to the fuel of the Puppy mill industry. They could have adopted the same breed of puppy at a local animal shelter or rescue. In fact, the Humane Society estimated that each year, 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet (2018). Making it very important to know that the number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying
Year after year people buy puppies from big breeders. Have you ever wondered where that puppy grew up? What kind of conditions the puppy lived in? Most puppies that someone would buy from a pet store are raised in puppy mills. Puppy mills are well-known for their “inhumane conditions” and the endless breeding of “unhealthy and genetically defective” dogs only for income. People should adopt rather than buy from a pet store or breeder. By adopting from a shelter, one could give a dog a second chance at a happy life.
GENERAL PURPOSE: To persuade the audience that pit bulls are nice loving dogs. SPECIFIC PURPOSE: To persuade the audience that pit bulls are not naturally dangerous. CENTRAL IDEA: Pit bulls are just like any other dog. It depends on how a pit bull or any other breed of dog is nurtured to determine the characteristics of the dog.
Thousands of animals are put to sleep each year due to not having any available homes for them to be adopted. According to Jennifer Sexton and Tom Warhol in Domestic Animal Overpopulation, “The average female cat can produce two litters of six kittens per year, a female dog can produce one litter of six or more puppies per year, making pet overpopulation a significant problem.” Animal overpopulation is costing money and you can help the pets with spay and neutering programs. A new solution is mandatory contracts for breeders and spay and neuter programs. This paper will talk about spay and neuter programs, contracts for breeders, and why some people don’t think animal overpopulation is a problem. Thankfully there are solutions to this issue of animal overpopulation.
Thesis Statement: While most owners are aware of the amount of joy and laughter dogs bring to them and their family, they are unaware that their dogs love them unconditionally and can help them have better lives
positive changes since animal programs were introduced (Puppies). With all the love and attention the animals receive, they are likely to be adopted quicker because of improved behavior (Flynn). I was a pit bull owner. My pit bulls name was Jax. I was not only a pit bull owner but, I also was a responsible pit bull owner to a very friendly pit bull. For example, I would take my pit bull on walks, to the vet, he was trained and good with kids. I would like to change people's thinking that all pit bulls are not bad. Some pit bulls are heros and save lives. I believe that people should be allowed to have a choice to keep pit bulls as pets.
Dogs are naturally loyal and empathetic creatures. No matter the breed, gender or size, when raised right, all dogs are amazing pets. Except when they aren't raised right. Now, its clear to see the line that separates what is the dog’s behavior, and what is the human’s. Pit bulls are factually proven to be loyal dogs, once nicknamed the “Nanny Dog” for
Have you ever wondered, how it feels to be in a place where is overcrowded, and you are next in line to be euthanize? This is the life of the shelter animal when no one adopts them for a certain period of time. According to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or known as ASPCA, each year, approximately 2.7 million animals are euthanized, which are 1.2 million dogs and 1.4 million cats. I am sure; most of you have some point in your life, owned a dog or a cat. Whether you are an animal lover or not, you don’t want to see innocent animals losing their lives. I personally have adopted a dog from a local shelter. There is no doubt that pet adoption from a shelter is a satisfying decision that will save innocent
As the sun came into view, I rushed out of bed and into the living room. My dogs followed me like a pack of wolves. I immediately lead them outside the back door where there is a fenced area, so they could use the restroom. Once they finished their business outside; they ran up the stairs and into the house. Sometimes my dogs are excessively loud with their mouths. Whenever they are out of dog food or need more water they let me know by barking. It is one of their ways of communication. The way they stare into my eyes with joy is another form of communication. Taking care of a dog is not difficult; however, they do take immense responsibility. Now that I know how much responsibility it takes to own a dog, I can use it in the future.
Dogs are wonderful creatures. They are loyal, dependable companions if given the opportunity. In recent years I have come to the opinion that we could learn something from these animals. We should also take a look at the manner in which they are being treated. Abandonment, irresponsible breeding, and neglect are only some of the ways that humans are failing the canine species.
