After reading class material in regard to the psychological perspectives or subdivisions it was really hard to pick just one. They are all interactive and connected. Many of them are important in our life , simply because we do live complex lives. We are mothers, responsible for socialization of our children so we do need developmental psychology, with teenagers we need more personality psychology. In this article I recognized many of strategies that I used since my high school days. Some of them come naturally from my own experience, what works the best for me, and some come as a suggestions and recommendation from my mother, who was a teacher and had degree in child development.
What I recognized in this article and could related too, was a fact that we learn better if we relate knew knowledge to people, places or prior experiences. It was so much easier to me to retain new material by linking it to something already familiar. I also practice,” little at the time “approach. All through my high school I maintained straight A (in former Yugoslavia straight 5, highest grade), by learning material” as it comes”. Reading after school what we learned that day, help me to remember better. I will “play the film” of my teacher from that day explaining all this in my head or I will pretend that I’m presenting that class in front of huge audience. I’m also early learner. I like to learn study and read in the morning before anyone else wakes up. This will help me stay focused, without any outside stimuli. No phones, no noises from outside, no kids running around house no dogs
