This assignment will explore the development of my coaching from knowledge gained also applied when possible to support my delivery. This paper will begin by evaluating the principle development by providing information about the fundamental movement skills importance within sport. Following this, it will discuss the psychological approach that the performer may face when performing and how this may impact performance. Further reading it will discuss sociology in coaching and the role as coaches we may come across in society and ways of possibly approaching these. Lastly, I will discuss my own personal strengths and weakness moreover, how I wish to continue my development as coach.

Allowing them the opportunity to play provides an understanding of their abilities and how I may support their development throughout their journey. Having the right Fundamental Skills allows the performer to advance to the stage of skill development with sports specific approach (Navin, 2011). With this been said, I use this information to support incorporating the fundamental approach when delivering to solidify the base for my performers which may support their further skill development. The Coaching association of Canada (2017) describe the fundamental skills necessary for children to move fluently. They state that this supports their confidence in attempting fluid movement in a variety of environments allowing the task to be sport specific. Dependent upon sports chosen, the National Governing Bodies (NGB) may provide feedback of techniques to observe what the coach is looking for. The FA (2017) provide blogs of qualities a football coach may need to be aware of and the ways a coach can challenge their participants to ensure the correct movements are being executed. Within my coaching sessions, I take the time to set up cones in different areas. This can organise a routine for the participants, which consists of them running in different areas. This can prompt them to practice their agility by making sharp turns in addition to moving in different directions with short notice. Sekulic, et.al (2013) also describes the improvements of speed and balance which should evidently improve the agility of the performer. It could be argued that if all performers were exposed to fundamental training it may prevent fewer injuries, and prepare the participant for using these skills in other avenues of life. Depending on their ability, the coach may add elements to progress their practice. Balance allows the participants to stand upright and have a steady position. Being able to balance effectively may progress participants being able to have control over their body weight. Using this technique may support with shielding the ball and dribbling under pressure of an opponent. When coaching to novice participants they may start with tasks such as balancing on one foot with the other foot
