With the arrival of the Taliban the social and more importantly the economical problems for the women of Afghan has increased. These women live their lives under monstrous oppression of both Jehadi and Taliban fundamentalists in disastrous situations, most of the Afghan women’s basic human rights are denied to them. By the rule of the Taliban, women are denied the right to have a job, this ruling that has created a flood of unemployed women in Kabul. These women that are unemployed now face very serious financial difficulties, suffering along side them are their children. Together that suffer from malnutrition, hunger many forms of illnesses as well as living that a chronic state of poverty. Majority of these women have lost their husbands and have sold the last of their valuable possessions in order to buy food. The women that were fortunate to be able to afford to leave the country and build a new life outside of Afghanistan have long go from the scene. The women that could not afford to leave have become the bulk of beggars in their country. Surprisingly the majority of the street beggars are ex teachers and civil servants.
With Kabual being in a bad state of economy it has hit hard the pity income of these beggars. The banning of female beggars entering shops, inns as well as other trading places has increased and this has affected the women’s income greatly. This has forced them to enter into prostitution simply in order for them to make sure that both their children and them-selves survive. Many young widows that are the sole bread earner in their family have had all their doors closed on them with job prospects and have joined the rank of prostitutes as well.
Preliminary research on this issue has showed that there are hundreds of new prostitutes that have joined the ranks with the professional ones. Most of these women are working from their homes under the name of ‘Qala’. In the city of Kabul there is somewhere between 25 to 30 brothels actively functioning. However due to security reasons these brothels are constantly on the move every few months.
The brothels usually have three to five women working and living in them. ‘Kharabati’ is the name given to the prostitute while the old woman that manages the work of the brothel is call ‘Khaka Kharabati’ and the pimps are called ‘Qala Dar’.
Since the starting years for ladies in Afghan have had for all intents and purposes no rights or opportunities. The effect of the Taliban forced restraint was most intensely felt in urban areas where ladies had delighted in moderately more important opportunities. At the point when the Taliban assumed control, ladies were not permitted to go to class and others have been compelled to leave their employments. The Taliban had issued orders denying ladies from working

Although World War Two was depressing and full of sorrows, it brought honour and recognition in Canadian history from World War Two to end of post-war era. Prostitution has been as issue in many societies around the world for almost all of recorded history. There has been evidence of brothels and prostitution dating far back into human history. Many different societies have different views, ideals, and reservation about the matter. Some cultures around the world view it as a necessary evil for people who need to support themselves and their families. Others view it as morally evil and socially destructive; helping to rot our society from the inside out. Even still there are cultures who don’t view it as evil at all and even a normal part of life. A person’s view on the act is formed largely based on the culture they are living in. Even sub cultures inside of larger one can have different view on the matter, such as religious groups that denounce it, to some groups in the same culture that say it is okay. Even the gauge of how industrialized a country can determine how that culture views prostitution, with many third world countries being more lenient on the matter, and many first world countries being much more strict on the matter, such as the some of the countries in Europe and also the United States.
Since the British Empire conquered North America, Canada has been a tightly connected colony of Britain. Canada has always under British rule and their cultures and national identity copied each other. However, after the Second Cold War Canada became culturally different in comparison to Britain and was lacking their own individual national identity. Joining NORAD, introducing a new Canadian flag, and fact that Canada’s Constitution was patriated helped ameliorate an identity for Canada. These advances of becoming an autonomous country after the Second World War helped Canada where it is today.
Prostitution is said to be the world’s oldest profession. Often prostitutes are thought to be seductively dressed women standing on the street corner calling out offerings of a good time in exchange for payment. That is an accurate depiction however, it is just part of the massive sex industry’s variety of marketing tools used in prostitution. The women and young girls standing on the corner are but a small fraction of a much larger picture and harsher reality.
Prostitution, as stated by Flemming, is known as a form of sexual activity, a kind of sexual style or category, and a form of economic activity, a way of making a living through the provisions of certain services, by behaving in accordance with, or falling into such a category (39). This definition, though, is controversial. While conducting research for this project, we found that most topics regarding prostitution and its affiliates were controversial. Each author gave a differing interpretation for the same data. Due to this, our project centered on the female prostitutes, even though there is evidence of male prostitutes.
Kabul has many unemployed individuals that live in poverty, most are refugees of wars. Afghanistan is known to be one of the poorest countries with forty million residents who are living below the poverty line. However, after the US invasion, the number of street children has decreased and they started going to school fulltime. Based on The Education Ministry’s data, seven million children were registere...

The Federal Reserve came from humble beginnings. In the 1800's "bank runs" were normal. In times of financial panic, concerned consumers would withdraw all of their money. These mass runs would cause a shortage in currency. As a result many banks went under when they ran out of money and where unable to honor deposits. Following years of economic instability the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was passed by Congress. The Federal Reserve was charged with control and regulation of the financial industry and monetary policy. The Fed would loan money to member or charter banks to make sure there was enough money available in the economy. Each member bank was also regulated by the Fed and required to hold a deposit with one of 12 Federal Reserve Banks. (Timberlake). The Federal Reserve was a lender of last resort for member banks and the Federal government. The intention was to alleviate fears and to stabilize the economy. The Federal Reserve also monitored the transition from the gold standard to a paper currency. It was necessary for the transition to be regulated since gold s...
