The use of genetically engineering in agriculture and food production has an impact, not only on the environment and biodiversity, but also on human health. What is Genetic Engineering?
Genetic engineering is a laboratory technique used by scientists to change the DNA of living organisms. DNA is the blueprint for the individuality of an organism. The organism relies upon the information stored in tits DNA for the management of every biochemical process. The life, growth and unique features of the organism depend on its DNA. The segments of DNA, which have been associated with specific features or functions of an organism, are called genes.

Scientists started to build vectors, which incorporated genes of their choosing and used vectors to insert these genes into the DNA of living organisms. Genetic engineers believe that they can improve the foods we eat by doing this. At first glance, this might look exciting to some people. What are the advantages of Genetically Engineered Food?
Genetic engineering gives today’s researchers considerable advantages in plant breeding programs.

With the rising number of male nurses society is being forced to become more open-minded in respect to professions that are typically linked to one sex dominantly. Stereotypically nursing has been thought of as a female career. Historically this has led to stereotypes and discrimination towards male nurses. Such as being excluded from certain subjects thought of as sensitive in nature (O’Connor, 2003).
In high school mock trial, as a team captain my team placed in the top ten out of 180 teams four years in a row. I coached my little brother’s team about mock trial, and they placed first in middle school, and fourth in high school last year. My section in band was the only section that was completely memorized for the first marching band show of the year under my leadership. My sorority makes it more difficult for me to see my contributions. I grew up knowing about how businesses are run, and how people are supposed to be discreet about certain things. However, when you are in an organization where people feel like not being fully transparent equals corruption, it’s hard to be a leader. Leaders have to shield certain information because if everyone heard, they would be discouraged. I contribute because I live my sorority’s values. I care so deeply about my sisters and my organization, that I would do anything to make sure that we are the best we can be. I helped to implement a new point system that still uses fines, so members attend mandatory functions, and rewards members for going to the events we work hard to create. I talk about my sorority in a positive way so people recognize the great work we do for our philanthropies. As I do this, I feel like I am earning the respect of my peers and doing the best job I can. When people think of a nurse they normally come to the conclusion that most nurses are women. I would have thought the same, due to the qualities I have mentioned. I would like to research why men are entering the nursing profession. I feel that a male would join the profession because of the hours a nurse works. From a very young age, I watched my father lead his troops while serving as a senior enlisted member of the U.S. Army. I saw how he held them accountable for doing their jobs on one hand while mentoring them and giving them the direction they needed, sometimes almost like a father figure on the other. Working for four different law enforcement agencies over the last twenty-seven years, I have been exposed to several supervisors, some good and some not so good. Looking back on it, I believe my leadership philosophy has been influenced more by the bad supervisors than the good ones. The first thing they showed me was the difference in a supervisor or manager and a leader. Very few of them cared for their members at all. They seemed to be more interested in their next promotion and gave little to no attention to mentoring their members and helping them achieve anything they wanted to achieve.
