Weight loss foods and meals have existed to support those who want to lose the extra pounds and those people are going beyond their bodies limits to maintain homeostasis; the body's ability to maintain a stable internal environment. One of the most popular and widely known ways of dieting are ketone diets, or their more precise name, ketogenic diets. Extreme dieting such as this consists of committing to a low carb diet where the liver produces ketones to be used as energy. The thought behind the body living off of ketones is controversial as to whether it is causing more harm to the body and brain than good, but all in all, the cons seem to outweigh the pros.
