For years self-driving cars have been considered science fiction but now what been fiction is now reality. Self-driving cars are a touchy subject to some of the community in Arizona. We live in a techlogical era where everything is being innovations are a big thing in today’s society. The working-class people that drive for a living think that they might lose their jobs to these self-driving cars. Then there’re are people that are concerned for their own safety on the road or walking across the street. But on the other side companies like Uber benefit from this new technology advancement like for example they won’t have to do any background checks on them besides having to do routine maintenance on the cars. The thing that might come to mind is am I going to lose my job from this. Take it from Uber they technically don’t have to higher drivers as much. According to an article called (Goldman Sachs says self-driving cars could lead to US job losses)(by: Global Banking News) they said that “autonomous cars could lead to the loss of about 300,000 American jobs a year. It said that bus, taxi, and truck drivers could all be affected.” If this happens it will make it more difficult to find work for professional drivers. Self-driving cars can be helpful for the people that can’t drive themselves due to disabilities. The age group that would be interested in this would be someone that hates public transportation or needs to make multiple trips to different locations each day. This would also give them the right to freedom to travel to places that they were normally restricted to go their due to limited travel. This will also help the drunks and the old that can barely see what is in front of them. The drunks won’t get DUI if they took a self-driving car home and the old won’t have to
