Why is it worth saving the snow leopard? pros This rare species is worth saving because of variety of factors, this will affect the interconnecting, in other words the regions ecosystem. Additionally, is the people would help of preventing this to happen, this would also help on the biodiversity, and the development. The snow leopard, as one of the most significant predator in the mountains of Central Asia, the Snow Leopard plays a significant role on ecological system, the reason why is because as Prezi, mentioned, this rare species is in control of the populations and health of the wild species it preys on. If the snow leopard is saved it will protect the region, and the over population. The snow board will not only help not having over
population of some specie, but will help humans too. What are the environmental risks of eliminating this specie? cons The consequences of the snow leopard being eliminated, will affect the whole regions. It will affect the environment, because there will be over population, in other words, this would affect the food chain, because there would not be the top predator. However, that is not the only consequence, but the animals that hunt this rare species could become endanger too, because they could not have anything to eat anymore. Also, if this becomes extinct, it will affect the people of the regions, because even though, humans know it is not the right thing to do, for some people it is necessary to live, because people do not have money, so some people make clothes out of the specie fur. This will affect the whole region, and not just the animal population.
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a work relief program that functioned throughout the years of the Great Depression. From 1933 to 1942 the CCC employed three million unmarried and unemployed young men to help families receive income during the New Deal Era. President Franklin D. Roosevelt was the man who created this relief program on March 9, 1933 and the bill establishing the CCC was passed by Congress shortly after on March 31, 1933.
How would you like to live in a bathtub your entire life? Never get to leave that tub, and the only purpose of your life is for the pure enjoyment and entertainment of others. You wouldn’t would you? So what makes humans think a twelve ton Orca, that in nature swims about an average of one hundred miles daily, would want to be kept in a pool its whole life? Keeping Orcas in captivity, strictly for show, when the pool is too small, and they are not kept in good physical or mental health. Some argue SeaWorld is not a problem that it is good enough for research, because SeaWorld gives them protection from the outside world where they wouldn’t survive as long, or that being kept in a pool simply doesn’t affect them physically or mentally. SeaWorld is inhumane to Orcas they do not take care of their physical or mental health, it causes the animals stress and anxiety, and causes them to be aggressive, leading to deathly situations.
Within the moraine there are countless species of animals that will soon be displaces from their habitant. Many of the creatures are endangered or rare, for example the West Virginia White Butterfly, Jefferson Salamander, Red-shouldered Hawk, American Ginseng, and the Hooded warbler. Putting these animals in zoos, or special buildings is not the answer, because they will not have the surroundings that they are used to in the wild. Also, by building roads in the Moraine, there will be a bigger chance that these animals are run over, or hit by the incoming cars. In conclusion, we should preserve the Oak Ridges Moraine and its animals because they are endangered they can?t live in zoos, and may be killed by the urban environment.
Imagine a scenic, wild landscape with animals that roam freely, cascading waterfalls, and mountains that seem to scrape the pale blue sky. This is what one thinks when first hearing the name Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately, the reality is completely opposite. Yosemite is now under a federally regulated Class 1 area under the Clean Air Act, which is equivalent to the pollution of Los Angeles (“National Parks Service”). It is a sad comparison to the past John Muir, who first documented Yosemite Valley, to today’s reality. The condition of Yosemite National Park should be introduced to the American public in order to protect its historic beauty and significance, eliminate current pollution, and prevent future repercussions.
There are plenty controversial issues about bully breeds and whether they are acceptable or safe dogs to own. In July a woman was mauled in her yard and killed by a dog in Montreal. Due to this unfortunate incident the mayor Denis Coderre created a bill called BSL (Breed-Specific Legislation) which was approved by the legislation. This bill states that determined by their breed or pitbull features “American Pitbull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs or any dog with strains of these breeds” will be unadoptable; they must wear a muzzle in public as well as a leash that’s 4 feet long and in most cases they will be euthanized due to their breed. BSL should be reversed because the real problem is irresponsible dog owners, the irresponsible owners will just switch breeds and any dog has the potential to hurt someone.
Roughly 68 percent of the electricity generated in the United States of America is produced by fossil fuels. That includes petroleum, natural gases and coal. Although coal contributes around 37 percent to the factor, it is by far not the cleanest of them all. Some might argue that it is good for the economy because it is cheap and it creates jobs.. But the other side of the story portrays coal mining as a process that kills thousands of coal miners a year and that it practically destroys the environment around the mining with soot and air pollution. Mining now days is a big part of urbanization; due to how cheap the process is. There are different ways that coal mining is done. Mainly mountain top removal is done but there are many other
Many animals depend on different environments such as lakes, oceans or the forest in order to survive. However due to human intervention such as pollution of the ocean, or heavy deforestation, many animals are at the risk of extinction. One such example is known as the Gundlach Hawk which due to deforestation is currently on the endangered species list. Due to it being on the list, conservation attempts are being made in order to keep the animal alive and save it from extinction.

Animal hoarding is a very common issue, and is not being reported the way that it should be. These situations need to stop being overlooked and dealt with correctly, not only to save the animals’ lives, but to keep the owner and their family in wellbeing. Animals are very important and should be taken care of very well. When they are put into a hoarding situation they cannot go out and get the help that they need. We need to be their voice and speak up for them. It is necessary to learn the signs and behaviors of animal hoarding.
There are other animals that rough it out through the extreme cold. The snow leopard, Himalayan wild yak, and musk deer are just three examples. These animals prove that surviving in the bitter cold is definitely possible, although rare. What kind of caves can be found 20,000 feet above sea level, and what mysteries lurk inside? The Abominable Snowman could be lurking just beyond our sight and just out of our reach.
Very helpful post. I think repealing is not a good option too. ACA is very good for low income people, mine workers, senior citizen and working class people. ACA is providing very good health coverage to the people who has pre-existing health condition. ACA help nearly 20 million American to gain health coverage by barring insurance companies from denying plans due to all kind of pre-existing illness and by providing subsidies to the poor to purchase coverage (Quittner, 2017). Repealing meaning taking the health coverage from all these people and bringing more problems in the healthcare field. We are not sure what will come next. So in my view, if they are thinking repealing is the only last option than, they should bring proper replacement
In this essay, I will argue that humans should not take action regarding invasive species because the animals are kind and friendly of the Gray squirrel. I will be talking about why should people not do anything about nature. This essay will be talking about people letting nature takes its course.
Because of breeding, such endangered species, two examples of which being the golden lion tamarin and the Przewalski’s wild horse, have improved in numbers significantly (Smithsonian). Although they are bred in captivity, it protects and preserves the animals from s...
As the majority of ski slopes take place on the sides of large, rugged mountains, the process of deforestation is required in order to create the downhill ski slopes. Deforestation can lead to the displacement of the natural habitats of resident birds as well as cause an increase in the surface runoff from the melt water flowing down the mountains once the snow has melted in the summer months. The problem of surface runoff is further increased by the alteration of the grade of the slope in order to make it suitable for skiers. This allows the melt water to flow quicker and results in the melt water coming into contact with few obstacles which can eventually lead to landslides. Other wildlife such as ibex, snow hares, and red deer are also affected by deforestation and the alteration of the slope’s grade. Wildlife is initially affected by the development and expansion of the ski res...
