Global warming is a serious environmental issue taking place on our planet earth. It threatens the wildlife, the people of our society, our progress and achievements as humans, the plants and many other examples that will be discussed in this essay. Like how does it affect us? Who’d have thought that there are pros of global warming, right? Well, it would lower the amount of winter deaths. The percentage of winter deaths are higher than those of other seasonal deaths. There are diseases like pneumonia and influenza that can kill you in a very painful way. The rising of temperatures that global warming provides will reduce that by a good percentage. There is most likely to be less droughts too. And as far as cons go, there are many previous and upcoming paragraphs that will insight you on that.

One way that our health can be affected is due to the droughts that global warming can cause. With droughts our water supply becomes scarce. As a result, civilians can suffer from dehydration. Disasters such as: severe storms, wildfires, and flooding can cause health risks as well. These disasters cause by climate change can cause burns, drowning, broken bones, and other physical injuries. Pollution will add on more health risks. By polluting, we are “dirtying” the air that we breath. Global warming and the greenhouse effect are issues discussed by scientists all the time. A natural process that keeps earths temperature at a livable rate is called the greenhouse effect. The energy from the sun warms up the earth when the rays from the sun are absorbed by greenhouse gasses. The gasses then become trapped in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane and nitrous oxide are the most common greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gases cause the radiant heat of the sun to be trapped in the Earths lower atmosphere which causes global warming. If there weren’t any greenhouse gasses, the earth would be really cold due to very little sun rays being absorbed on the earth.
