Communism has both advantages and disadvantages. As for the advantages, there are three main ones: equality, accessible social services, and no business monopolies. Since all resources are in the hands of the state, the society is a classless society so everyone is equal. Further, healthcare, employment, and education are available to all citizens. Everybody can get the education they need and be provided with health care. Since everyone gets equal opportunities, it reduces the unemployment rate. Lastly, there is no competition among corporations. They are regulated by the government so it is impossible for a certain business to monopolize the market.
However, communism also has its faults. To begin with, it hinders personal growth. The government suppresses on people’s lives too much. Since everyone is supposed to be equal, people can not have personal development or improvement. Next, the government dictates to citizens and runs the lives of all people. They can not “criticize the government or demand for changes” (“6 Advantages and Disadvantages of

Between the two beliefs, communism is better than capitalism. The economy within a country must be fair to all citizens. In capitalism, the few exploit the mass solely for their benefit. The 1% of the population having and controlling 99% of the economy is obviously not fair. It should be the government, in the name of the people, that controls the economy in the name of the people instead of the rich controlling the economy. In a communist society, the government is totalitarian so the wealth is distributed fairly equally or according to the citizens’ needs not wants. Since the end goal is to eliminate class distinctions among citizens, competitions among classes will stop and there will be peace and equality. It will create a classless society where everyone is equal. This will effectively diminish the economic gap between the rich and the
While it is great that citizens live under similar economic terms and are assured of the same paycheck every week, communism is not an environment that will allow businesses or people to flourish. On the opposite side of a Capitalist society, where businesses are able to skyrocket earnings, a Communist society affects businesses ability to grow. If each worker is given the same amount of money, this can affect their motivation to do things and go above and beyond. Everyone who earns the same amount of money for the same amount of work seems like a peaceful agreement and a proletariat paradise, but it does not always turn out that way. Unfortunately, communism can often lead to widespread corruption and sometimes encourages greed.
Communism versus Capitalism is a debate that has raged on for over two centuries. Whether to allow everyone equal opportunities and to do with those opportunities as they please or to mandate class equality in order to keep peace has in itself been the cause of wars. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels saw the working class of the world--the proletariat--being squashed by the greedy business owners--the bourgeoisie. In their view, the bourgeoisie owned too much and the proletariat had no chance to make their own fortunes. In Marx and Engels Communist Manifesto, they propose doing away with private property, nationality, and even countries in order to take power away from the bourgeoisie. However, according to Samuel Smiles, it is the laziness of the working class and the poor that put them in that position. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels would adamantly disagree.
Though the rewards are pleasing to the ear, the path to obtaining the benefits of communism is a violent one. This strict governing idea was derived from Communist Manifesto, a book written by two German economists, Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels, who declare that many problems in society are caused by the unequal distribution of wealth. These two believe that “Communism deprives no man of the ability to appropriate the fruits of his labour. The only thing it deprives him of is the ability to enslave others by means of such appropriations.” To achieve the goal of happiness and prosperity for all, the lines that distinguish the differences between the rich and poor must be erased. Obviously, the rich will never voluntarily give up their goods or status; therefore the figureheads must force equality among the citizens. Communism places their citizens, whether they be the wealthy or the laborers, into working classes that specify their contribution to the government. With such balanced placement of the people, individuality is impossible for any single person to achieve.
Communism today has no copyright laws, no private property laws, and the government owns the economy in its entirety. Communism stresses the ending of both religion and the entire morality established upon religion. Communism theoretically tries to improve respect within society, but instead it abolishes all concepts of entire morality (Communism and Amorality). The structure of communism encourages the establishment of classless and stateless society based on the common title of the means of production (Structure of Communism). It tries to offer an alternative to the problems assumed to be inherent with capitalist economies and the heritage of imperialism and nationalism. Communism states that the only way to resolve these difficulties would be for the working class to replace the ruling class in order to create a diplomatic, free society without a government (Structure of Communism). Communism prevents anything to overcome another establishment. It allows everything to be intact and it allows everything to be equal. Communism in its most influential days was ...
The right for an individual to exercise his or her own economic rights was created, allowing anyone to handle their own economic issues. You are allowed to earn as much money as possible from your products. The Bourgeoisie owned the factories and earned all of the money from the products that the workers made. Communism is the study of how everyone is at peace and works together. There is no need for competition or armies because no wars are going on.
In Marx's ideal communist world, the entire populace is equal, and shares everything. There is no competition, and no one is rewarded more or less based on his or her individual achievement. Yet with this newfound sense of a worldwide sharing, there, in theory, is no poverty or hunger.
“We declare openly that our ends can only be achieved by the forcible overthrown of all social conditions.”- Karl Marx. This famous philosopher and socialist Karl Marx was well recognized for his famous book titled “The communist manifesto”. But who would of known that years after his death the world would be experiencing major rivalries and conflicts upon the restoration of Marx’s communistic ideas. Communism brought unexpected dilemmas, time consuming arguments and most importantly it lead to one of the most heartbreaking and nastiest wars of all between different nations. The Cold War occurred between the period of 1947 and 1985, just two years after the termination of World War II. This war was a struggle between the United States and the
Communism is an economic system where, in theory, ownership of everything (e.g. goods, industrial products, businesses, farm produce, etc.) is collectively by the Government and the payment of income is only based one’s need. In communism, individuals have little say or on say at all on what to produce, not even owning anything since ownership is only by the Government. Communism is a socio-economic structure based on classless, stateless society where the means of production are on common ownership. Therefore, communism is the idea of free society where there is no divisions, humanity is not oppressed, no need for Government or countries. A citizen earns according to their needs and gives according to their abilities to do so.
Communism was the ideology followed by the Soviet Union. Originally founded by Karl Marx, it said that everything should be owned by the government and then divided up equally among the people who would then all work for it. For the communist party in Russia, their political system was always in danger. From the start of the Russian Revolution there have been dangers to communism. Before World War II most of the western nations ignored Russia simply because it was a communist state and the western nations actually supported Hitler because they believed that Germany would provided a buffer against Communism. The permanent threat against Russia gave the incentive to expand and spread communist influence as much as possible to keep their way of life intact, it was very much Russia against the world. However not only was the Soviet Union communist, they were totalitarian, meaning all the power was with the rulers. While this was effective for keeping the standard average of living the same for everyone and preventing poverty, it also led to a poor work ethic among the working population...
Government effects my life everyday in a vast variety of ways. From the quality of the milk that I drink in the morning, to the license and Insurance I need to drive my vehicle to school and work. Government also effects the taxes that are deducted from my salary. The government uses this money to protect consumers and provide services for the public amongst many other things.
Marx believed that the class system was the main problem and should be demolished. He believed that everyone should be equal and should work together in order to create. In his thoughts in The Communist Manifesto, he tells of all the benefits due to the many changes that will be made in his classless society. Socially everyone will be looked upon as equal, and everyone will contribute to their society. Intellectually, the people will not be selfish and will all come together to combine their ideas. Politically things will be different since there will be no government. Also, religions will be abolished and there will be no higher beings. Economically, property will not be privately owned and everything will be shared by all. In this society, there are many problems and this seems like a great way to bring about change.
It is clear that capitalism is more advantageous than communism in every aspect in the economy. All stakeholders such as common people, state, government, banks, and investors will benefit more in a capitalist economy. The best way to describe a communist economy is as an old lady who is demotivated in her life and just wants to eat and sleep, while a capitalist economy can be described as a motivated young man who wants to keep achieving more and more in his life.
Every single one of them has their pros and cons. Capitalism is no exception. Cons in Capitalism include monopoly in which large companies can become too powerful. Unfair pay and worker exploitation are also used to increase profits, which lead to greed in wanting more and more money. However, these things happened in Socialism and Communism as well; the only difference is that in Capitalism the people have the choice to become better. Capitalism allows you to sell and buy as you wish, creating economic growth. Capitalism improves the livings standards of the society overall. Furthermore, there are no better alternatives than capitalism because history has shown failures of communism and economies with too much government
Everything is run by the state and should be run by the government on behalf of the people. No private person is allowed to profit from the work of other citizens. Communism is a controlled economy. All profits don’t go into the pocket of one owner; the profits go to the state, which benefits everyone.... ...
Communism is an original system of society, quite different from Democracy in many ways. While total democracy is not widely spread, many forms of it are prosperous throughout the world today.
