It’s only a select few of students that abuse the use of phones. It’s not fair to the students that are not allowed to have the use of phones because of a select few of students. If teachers are still having problems with the hand full of students that always have their phone then they should discipline those few students and not everyone else. If phones could be put into class time and used as a learning tool then kids wouldn’t be as tempted to get on their phones. Most teachers don’t like that resolution because kids are going to be on their phones regardless of what is going on, even if teachers have said otherwise. Parents and faculty have said that the use of cellphones are a nuisance and that there should not be an option of letting kids have phones at all regardless of the situation. Parents may have a different opinion but teachers have made the comment that parents don’t have to teach the kids, they don’t have the slightest idea what kids are doing when teachers are trying to give a lesson or trying to instruct other kids. Cell Phones are a constant distraction that cn be taken away in a matter of minutes. So cell phones, Necessity or Nuisance? What’s your

Teens are being distracted one way or another, and taking advantage of what our technology is capable of. The use of cell phones by students across the state of Pennsylvania should be prohibited because students are more likely to cheat, cell phones cause distractions, and hallways will become hazardous.

Cellular devices and social media have become a number one priority for many people across the world. Due to the fact that the student will not put down their phones during school hours, their grades tend to be lower, which could, in the long run, affect their chances of getting into college. The use of cell phones does not strictly affect younger generations, it also had major influence on adults at the
Another way is they can ban cellphones so the student won’t bring them to school at all which is something good.i feel that if the other ideas don 't work which i will talk about briefly we should use cellphones for educational purposes. Let 's face almost every student has a cellphone that they carry with them at all times. If we use the student cellphones for their education they are more likely are going to pay attention in class. Also their is some benefit to students using their cellphone in their classroom for educational purpose they are less likely to forget their phone so they will be able to remember what they did the day before or they can remind themselves to study of a quiz or test etc(Kieffer). That 's one way to do it if the next solution doesn 't work well as i was saying i believe if we ban cell phones from school we will see a big difference in the student 's grade since their is nothing for them to get distracted on then all they have left is pay attention so that will be a good way to stop this
One reason that cell phones should be banned from classrooms is because students who use them fall into a daze of distracted learning. Classes are taught by teachers, whose goal is to give the student an educational experience, learning things they will need to apply to their later life. However, students on their cellphones are distracted from their learning and never use the lessons taught. Over 2,000 cellphone disturbances were reported in New York City in the past school year (Backstory). This means that over 2,000 people had issues with cellphones interrupting classroom discussi...
Cell phones should be permitted in schools, because they can be very beneficial and practical in schools. Cell phones can be a life-saver in the case of an emergency. In New York, a violent incident has taken place. Fortunately, timely communication from a student using a cell phone saved a man who desperately needed medical attention (“Cell Phones in the Classroom”). Another student has assisted the police in arresting the suspect by giving timely updates of the criminal scene using a cell phone during the school lockdown.
Firstly, cell phones are a useful object when needed in an emergency. When parents need to contact their kids, they would have access to talk with them on their cell phones. People say "But there's phones in the office", So? What if office staff are out for lunch? What if the emergency happens at their parent’s work place? So, what would they do? Go out and look for them? Cell phones are very useful in that situation! If an emergency happens how would their kids know when to turn their phones on? So, a good comprise would be to turn on your phone and set it on vibrate. Schools should allow cell phones in school for children's protection and safety.
Teachers and students have long been at war over the various issues concerning cell phones. Many teachers say that cell phones ringing, vibrating and making other noise disrupt a class, though in fact, many teachers’ complaints could be rendered null and void if students were allowed to use cell phones. Usage of phones out of class, in lunch and in the hallways should be allowed, as well as in the class, but at the teacher’s discretion for the student to use for their education, safety, and for their social interaction.
It’s not a reasonable defense for using cell phones. You can spend time for your cell phones at home. I can say that students must always be busy in the classroom, they all have their works to do instead of connecting with peers in other countries. Why don’t they use their own time to do that? That skill doesn’t need teachers to teach you how, but teachers are really necessary for explaining other lessons. As I know, today’s children probably don’t need teachers for their digital devices, most of them learn by themselves.
Ever since incidents such as 9/11 and Columbine, high schools have started implementing new rules regarding cellphones. Cellphones attract the attention of building managers, teachers, parents, and students. Although teachers see them as a distraction and a way to cheat, they can be quite helpful to students. School districts should permit students to use cellular devices in school for purposes of improving their education and providing themselves with a sense of security. By permitting the use of cellphones in school, students can increase their knowledge and complete school work by using applications and other features on their smartphones.
Many kid would say, "I need it to get picked up after school." There are phones provided at the office and located in the class room. If kids would leave there cell phone at home they would not get distracted from class. If in any case there is an emergency parents can either go pick up their child from class by going through the main office or call in the office and they will tell the child. If in a case where the child stays after school allot then their couch would have a phone that the child could use. If kids do bring their cell phone at school I believe that the first thing the teacher and kids should do is make an agreement within the whole class, for instance, the kids would only be allowed to use there cell phone for music only when it is independent work, but if I, the teacher, catch you, the kids, using your cell phone for unnecessary use I would be able to keep you phone for the rest of the day and you can get it back after school. Making an agreement where both teacher and student can benefits from the contract. Other ways to prevent students from using their phones are what I like to call Dictation Method, where the teacher at each period would collect any devices they have at the beginning of the class, have them put their names on it and put it in a zip block bag and be put in the block for the
What if you could have your phone out in class and not get in trouble for it, instead it be encouraged for you to have it out. Phones can be a benefit and there not just a distraction. Although some students may use social media or play games in class this can be monitored. Phones should be aloud out in class for the many benefits it brings to students and teachers. One benefit being is, it can be used as a dictionary or a source of research.
With the rapid development of technology, cell phone, one been a high-end luxury, is now believed by many as a life necessity. Undergoing numerous improvements, cell phones are now lighter in weight, faster in processing speed and more affordable in price, thus, its wide popularity among people of all ages is surely understandable. Equipped with mobile phones, modern students are endowed with unprecedented privileges and at the same time, forced to face unparalleled challenges. “How to maximize the advantages of cell phones in school” has long been a practical and urgent issue for most school administrators, since cell phones can be both utility tool and enticing distraction. From my perspective, the pros of allowing students to use their phones and other electronic devices significantly outweigh the cons. Justifying the use of mobile phones, the school-wide cell phone policy benefits its students socially, physically and academically.
Today’s cell phone is the front line technology at our fingertips. Keeping this in mind the use of cell phones have become an affair when it comes to allowing teens to use them in educational environments, such as schools. One part of society supports the use of cell phones while the other part of society disapproves the use of cell phones. I personally believe that cell phones should not only be allowed in school, but cell phones should be mandatory just like a textbook. Cell phones do not only allow students to stay united with friends and family, but cell phones are also a magnificent learning system, and they boost the liable use of technology.
Lately, cellphones have become a big issue for schools and they have a big role on learning process. Teachers argue that cellphones are distraction in classrooms and they should be banned. Cellphones make students to text, play games and act irresponsibly during the time when they should study. This causes them to be distracted and not to pay full attention to the class. Cellphones can be also used as a cheating device as long as it makes possible for students to accesses to the internet or by taking pictures of the exams charge other students. Camera phones can invade privacy and safety in schools since some students take and spread inappropriate pictures of other students in locker rooms and restrooms. Cell phones impact education and schools, therefore they should not be allowed to use in schools.
